Yup yup...you're right...PSlive is a superior service!  Twenty five million gold xblive subscribers are getting screwed by their ignorance!  You got me there!

2 different god damn services. Xbox Live is the enitre online community. PS Plus is an add on service for games, demos, and updates. They are not the same thing so you can't compare value.

And like I said a few pages back if Microsoft continues their 2 free games a month on the Xbox One their offer is better because you get to keep the games if you decide you don't want to pay for Live anymore.

I don't want to fight about this right now, but I have to strongly, strongly disagree.

With the announcement of mandatory PS+ for online play on the PS4 the 2 services couldn't be more alike. They are competing directly. Therefore, in terms of price, content and services one is completely justified in comparing them head-to-head.

Now that we're talking about the future that we both don't know anything about, how do you know Sony won't make you keep your games to compete with Microsoft?

Microsoft didn't announce the service for Xbox One, and the service will end at the end of the year for Xbox 360. So as of right now, PS+ offers better value to the consumer.

It will be on the PS4, but as of right now one is for the entire online echo system and the other is an added service. Once we get to next gen and if Microsoft keeps the 2 games a month then we can have this debate. Until then they are 2 different things.

In July I can download Halo 3 and AC 2. If I stop paying for live I keep those games.

If I stop paying for plus tomorrow I am locked out of everything.

Now you can talk about how much value you have gotten since 2010, but again we are comparing a service from 3 years ago to a service that hasn't even started yet. And on top of that we don't know if Microsoft is keeping this service on the Xbox One. This could be a trial run for something bigger or it could just be a thank you to players before a new generation and we never see this again.

I'll agree with you that (at least at this point) it isn't as clear-cut as some would lead one to believe.

If I were to make a counter argument, it would be that H3 and AC2 can be picked up for almost nothing 2nd hand.

They are 2 different things. PS Plus is an added service. Xbox Live is the echo system you pay to be apart of. No matter how many sarcastic tones you want to use nothing changes. Fine we can talk about right now. Starting in July I get Halo 3 and AC 2 and two games every month till the end of the year. If I stop paying for Xbox Live I keep those games forever. If I stop paying for PS Plus I lose everything.

And your right and I continue to say we have no idea if Microsoft is going to use this as a bigger picture thing or just end it when the Xbox One comes out. Until then you are comparing two different things as of right now. But come July what is the argument going to be then? That Sony started it first. That there has been more value from a service 3 years old comapred to a service that is 1 month old?

I am dying to find out what the next dick measuring contest will be.
