Now that water levels are back, I am hoping for a return of more animal buddies as well. But Retro will probably be lazy, because from this interview you can already sense that they have no ambition whatsoever.

Retro's choice to make another Donkey Kong Country instead of a 2D Metroid title is a dead giveaway.

This makes me miss Rare... in the time it's taken Retro to make just one DKC game, Rare could have shit out 3 of them on top of all their other projects across multiple consoles.

I bet you the next game we see from them is that lame Starfox / Metroid crossover game that's been rumored... and we won't see it for another 2-3 years minimum.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

That was when dev cost and dev times were lower. Back in the N64 days a AAA game could be made in a year and maybe team of 50 people, but now this a whole different story. If Rare was still around, we would have seen a lot less projects from them. Heck it takes over 150 people to make a AAA game and 3 years to make a full quality AAA game from the ground up.

The days of having multiples games from a single dev in a year are over.

Nintendo and PC gamer

not really looking forward to this game

and the next game we get from Retro will probably be in 2016 so meh

they have fallen from the high spot I used to have them at

DKCR sold as much as all three Metroid Prime games combined.

I guess in retrospect, the writing was kind of on the wall.

I'm not especially looking forward to it, just because Donkey Kong has never fired my imagination like Sonic, Mario, or Kirby, but Country Returns was polished to an absolute science and was definitely worth the purchase, as will this game, it'll just be a bit lower on the priority line.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

So Tropical Freeze will be a lot better than the Wii part only for the fact that there will be no waggle control at least in single player mode!

There's still the option to use DKCR's motion controls. That's how I'll be playing it. Shaking to pound the ground and beat end barrels and bosses was too satisfying for me to give up.

I was hoping for a new Metroid game personally but it makes sense why they would make this game instead and it looks very polished so ill get it eventually. I plan on getting Returns for 3DS this week(never played it on Wii) so depending on how much I enjoy that, will dictate how soon I pick up Tropical Freeze.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

water levels look amazing... The camera thing is awesome, I am sure if this could top Dkcr, but it looks it has a chance!
