Well, he adds the part about Black Flag being also free in a few days. so it's perfectly ok.

As for the game, I only played part of it (I was playing it when I had a problem with my PC and my hard drive went kaput), but it's more demanding that Age of Empires 2, if that helps.

Black Flag doesn't come up till the 12th, and that's when WiC deal expires.

I'll check it out then, just like the long overdue CoH!

The Humble 'Jingle Jam' Bundle gets you $847 worth of games for $35
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-35-humble-jingle-jam-bundle-comes-with-847-worth-of-games/
Humble Bundle's holiday 'Jingle Jam' bundle, a joint charity effort with the Yogscast, is only going to get better as December goes on, and it's already got some great games on offer. The bundle runs through the entire month, but while you can pay as little as $5 to get a shout from the Yogscast on their Twitch stream (and a few Team Fortress 2 badges), you've got to pony up $35 to get to the games. Humble says the bundle includes $847 worth of games though, which doesn't sound like a bad deal. Paying $1 or more will also get you 10 percent off a month of Humble Monthly.

Let's give a look at Steam and some of its 421 weeklong deals:

Huge Dauntless update adds new bosses, improves combat and progression

In August, I said I couldn't recommend Dauntless, developer Phoenix Labs' free-to-play monster-hunting action RPG. I also said it might be worth another look after a few big updates. As previously reported, it finally got one in October, when it left loot boxes behind. This Friday, December 8, it's getting another big update with the 'Sharpen Your Skills' patch, which seems to make huge improvements to multiple systems.

Fortnite player promises to cheat no more in lawsuit settlement with Epic
http://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-player-promises-to-cheat-no-more-in-lawsuit-settlement-with-epic/
Epic Games found itself dealing with a spot of PR ugliness last week when it came to light that one of the people caught up in its Fortnite cheating lawsuits was a 14-year-old boy. That revelation came alongside a very take-no-guffola reply from the lad's mother, who claimed among other things that Epic was using her son as a scapegoat—and that releasing his name to the public was in itself illegal.
In a letter sent to the court on November 30 (via TorrentFreak), Epic's legal counsel pointed out that legal restrictions on using the name of a minor in legal documents only applies if the person is question is known to be a minor. "We did not violate Rule 5.2(a) or Local Civil Rule 17.2 because we did not know when we filed the papers that Defendant is a minor," it states.

Gorogoa, the beautiful hand-drawn puzzle game, will (finally) be out next week
http://www.pcgamer.com/gorogoa-the-beautiful-hand-drawn-puzzle-game-will-finally-be-out-next-week/
We got our first look at Gorogoa in late 2013, a little more than a year after it won the 2012 Indiecade Award for visual design. At the time it was slated for release in mid-2014, and boy did that sure not work out. (It was also supposed to be out this spring.) But today we have good news, as publisher Annapurna Interactive has dropped a launch trailer and announced that it will finally be out on December 14.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator is out now
http://www.pcgamer.com/freddy-fazbears-pizzeria-simulator-is-out-now/
Following a tease late last week, Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon has just released Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator. http://www.pcgamer.com/pubg-teases-new-truck-exclusive-to-the-desert-map/

Street Fighter 5's long-awaited Arcade Mode has over 200 endings
http://www.pcgamer.com/street-fighter-5s-long-awaited-arcade-mode-has-over-200-endings/
In his review, Nathan Brown said Street Fighter 5 is "so, so good for the genre-savvy" but that it "does nothing to help you grow as a player." Part of this was down to the fact SF5 shipped without a story mode, and a best-of-three versus mode and, crucially, an arcade mode. The latter is due on January 16, and looks pretty ambitious.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War drops limb-severing Online Fight Pits in free update
http://www.pcgamer.com/middle-earth-shadow-of-war-drops-limb-severing-online-fight-pits-in-free-update/
Just under three weeks ago, WB Games announced Middle-earth: Shadow of War would receive five free updates before the end of the year. Not worth it while I'm performing real work. And it's too much work just for a raffle.

I also dislike sites that have sub-pages for articles... why can't they load them all at once?

Because having a mile long article is also a turn off, and that way you can skip the parts you don't like (like the "product showcase" part).

That's true, because these sites also put that info, in the end you should always have the option on how to view the content.

I guess they also do it so each page has new ads displayed. The cheapo list sites do this, their kind of content could easily fit in one page, but each entry takes up one page full of ads.
