Only 4k120. Get this shit out of my sight. Are people even using HDMI for PC gaming nowadays? Seems like a great evolution for TVs though.

The interface can do better at 4K@144FPS without DSC but the best part is that it can do that with HDR10 while it's competitor (DP 1.4) is still stuck with peasant sRGB and VESA knows that they have a dud with DisplayPort LOL ...

DP has no dynamic HDR metadata, no eARC, no standardized VRR and no standardized tone mapping bypass (Quick Frame Transport) ... (Does DP even support 16-bits per colour ?)

For now I don't really care much about color for my PC gaming. High resolution and 144Hz go first and everything else is bonus. So far 4k144Hz monitors aren't even on market and one reason for that is both HDMI and DP being too slow to adapt. I do appreciate color for my TV which is also connected to my PC but via HDMI. Though there I do not care much about high frequencies.

The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition mod completely overhauls combat and alchemy
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-witcher-3-enhanced-edition-mod-completely-overhauls-combat-and-alchemy/
This is not the Witcher 3 I played. In the game I remember, Geralt whirled and twirled his way through combat, magnetising to the nearest enemy. Combat wasn't always easy, and it did have some depth—I had fun wading into crowds of enemies, dodging and rolling out of the way, and buffing up with potions before big fights. But I was always disappointed with the limitations of The Witcher 3's skill upgrade system, and upgrading gear and the Quen sign made late-game battles less challenge, more race to see how fast I could decapitate every monster or thug in sight. The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition does not play like that. And for anyone who was turned off by The Witcher 3's vanilla combat, this mod might be just what they need to enjoy one of the best games of all time.

Darkest Dungeon Boss Rush mod is the hardest quest you'll ever play
http://www.pcgamer.com/darkest-dungeon-boss-rush-mod-is-the-hardest-quest-youll-ever-play/
Darkest Dungeon is one the most challenging games I've ever played. As Ian Birnbaum noted in his review, it's great fun even when it's cruel and a host of neat player-made mods have since added mileage to what's already a deep and comprehensive game.
The latest mod that's caught my eye is shishiwashi's Boss Rush—and I can't decided if it's a cool idea or the work of a twisted sadist.

Well things changed, at least for HDMI that is ...

DP flat out has less features and is less capable ... (lower latency and variable refresh rates are promised to be standardized too so no more freesync or the crappy ass G-sync tax unless Nvidia decides to forgo HDMI 2.1 altogether which would be sorely disappointing)

Let's just see what the first 4K144Hz monitor has for interfaces. Freesync means shit to me if Nvidia GPUs don't support it.

FreeSync is BS too but at least with HDMI 2.1 you don't have to deal with any of that bullshit including G-sync too ... (both solution are vendor specific garbage)

The first 4K144Hz monitor is probably going to be HDMI 2.1 cause VESA has NOTHING so far to respond ...

They haven't even announced the specs for DP 1.5 or 2.0 ...

The 4k144Hz monitors I know of run with Gsync over DP. But we'll see. I'm pretty much tied to what Nvidia is going to support since I most likely won't buy AMD any time soon. So if the first good 4k144Hz monitor is with Gsync, that's what it's going to be.

Is it using DSC ? (If so you really can't call it raw 4K144Hz output since the image is being compressed over the interface to be able deliver that throughput)

DP 1.3/1.4 is only capable of 25.96Gb/s so it is only able to reach raw 4K120Hz in sRGB colour space While HDMI 2.1 has a total bandwidth of 42.6Gb/s so it can comfortably deliver raw 1440P@240Hz or 4K@144Hz and even maybe oddball 4K@180Hz ...
