A 2 years old monitor and you're going to replace it. Mine is a Dell U2311H, and the last two numbers label the year of that model.

If you've had that ghosting problem with only one game, maybe the problem is from the game, not the monitor. C'mon, you sould have noticed the ghosting in other fast paced games by now if it was usual.

Well MC is a block af game, but in 3D. I've not really played many games that were exactly like MC to notice ghosting that bad.

I'm not chucking the monitor away either. I'll be hooking it up to the desktop to use as a second monitor (multimedia one). The 144hz one will be for gaming.

Ordered all the parts, though the sodding RAm and HDD will somehow take till the 11th Aug to deliver.

Now I just need to order a dang monitor and now it's looking even harder to find a decent IPS 1080p 144hz one that isn't sold out and delivers to the UK.

It almost feels like a selective push for 1440p and 4k when it comes to G-sync.

Current one is a BenQ Gl2460, nabbed back in 2015.

Still an infant. My main monitor is a Dell 2407 WFP which I bought in May 2007. ;)

But I added a 120-Hz-monitor with TN-panel and 3d emitter in March 2011 and since then I'm switching between them depending on the game and genre.

Slow games (point&click adventures, RPGs, strategy games...) I prefer with the better color accuracy of the Dell, most fast games (shooters and racing games) with 120 Hz. For other action games I decide case by case what works better. And the few games where they don't fuck up the 3D-support (or the ones where 3D gets fixed by Helix mods) I often play in 2 x 60 Hz (stereoscopic 3D).

I want HDR + 144 Hz + G-Sync (or Freesync 2 if AMD has a comeback) for my next monitor... 4K ain't a must, 1440p will do. So I'm very interested in the new monitors coming out this and next year.

Excuse me for the "$0.00"s those are my spares and oh.. remember my Coolermaster Silencio 652s that i bought this case and kept it for 2020 long ago? My Ryzen 7(PC 2017) rig is now in this case.

There are far more curved G-sync 1080p monitors than non curved =/.

Okay so I've come down to these choices for a new monitor.

Yes, special for Overwatch/Quake Champions, although high or ultra or uber duper ultra settings don't matter, not really graphics whore, so anyway here's my two current PCs:

Pro gaming. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6J3VzM being plugged to BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz.

PC 2017. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7RZtTH being plugged to 43 inch LG SUHDTV for productivity or RPG games.

Well, the U2311 was my first 16:9 monitor. Before that, I had a 19" Sony 4:3 or 5:4, I don't remember.

I still remember how wide the monitor felt the first days.

Curved monitors are the new thing, sadly. At least they make more sense in monitors than in TVs.

I'll give a look at the monitors you've listed, but you can start going to TFT-Central to see if there's any review of them (they talk about ghosting): http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews_index.htm; and you can also go to Prad.de and, with Google translator, check out their reviews: http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/testberichte.html.

I've only taken a quick look and I'm sad to say that I'd go with the Asus PG279Q (I say I'm sad because it's the most expensive one). It seems to give you all you're looking for except for being 1440p, plus it's an IPS monitor and the factory calibration seems to be quite good.

If you can, search for users opinions for more, and real, info about those monitors.
