Still an infant. My main monitor is a Dell 2407 WFP which I bought in May 2007. ;) But I added a 120-Hz-monitor with TN-panel and 3d emitter in March 2011 and since then I'm switching between them depending on the game and genre. Slow games (point&click adventures, RPGs, strategy games...) I prefer with the better color accuracy of the Dell, most fast games (shooters and racing games) with 120 Hz. For other action games I decide case by case what works better. And the few games where they don't fuck up the 3D-support (or the ones where 3D gets fixed by Helix mods) I often play in 2 x 60 Hz (stereoscopic 3D). I want HDR + 144 Hz + G-Sync (or Freesync 2 if AMD has a comeback) for my next monitor... 4K ain't a must, 1440p will do. So I'm very interested in the new monitors coming out this and next year. |
Well, the U2311 was my first 16:9 monitor. Before that, I had a 19" Sony 4:3 or 5:4, I don't remember.
I still remember how wide the monitor felt
the first days.

Curved monitors are the new thing, sadly. At least they make more sense in monitors than in TVs.
I'll give a look at the monitors you've listed, but you can start going to TFT-Central to see if there's any review of them (they talk about ghosting): http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews_index.htm; and you can also go to Prad.de and, with Google translator, check out their reviews: http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/testberichte.html.
Please excuse my bad English.
