Speaking of monitors/tvs. When the tits is that Asus 4k IPS HDR 144hz monitor gonna come out anyway. Like it was announced last year darn it

They announced it this year, at CES, in January, with an estimated launch in Q3 2017.

Of course, we're already in Q3, but we all know that in electronics products usually launch at the end of each quarter, September in this case. And then there are past experiences with this kind of products that tell us that despite whatt hey said, it will be a Q4 product at the earliest.

And I would also stay away from the early units, as they will be riddled with problems.

Weird, I started hearing about it last year

But I guess they didn't officially announce it until January this year. Still, hopefully it comes out soon enough

Looks like they're working on new displayport for 4k/144hz, and yeah i heard about this monitor while ago... but it was a 27 inch monitor. :/

Well, it was indeed officially announced at CES by Nvidia to promote their G-Sync HDR tech along with its Acer equivalent

SALES & "SALES"/DEALS

The Humble Capcom Rising Bundle features Resident Evil, Dead Rising, and more
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-humble-capcom-rising-bundle-features-resident-evil-dead-rising-and-more/
The title of the Humble Capcom Rising Bundle pretty well describes what it's all about: A collection of games from Capcom that you can pick up on the serious cheap. For the minimum price of $1, you get the side-scrolling action-adventure Strider, the online third-person shooter Umbrella Corps, and the 2013 action-brawler DmC: Devil May Cry. But that's far from all it has to offer.

The perfect bundle if you like to kill Zombies!

With a German IP you don't get the Dead Rising games... but since I already have them, I didn't care about hiding the IP and just bought the Tier 2 games.

Resident Evil 0 HD, Resident Evil 1 HD and Resident Evil 6 were worth two bucks each anyways... and Umbrella Corps is utter crap.

All I want is: 1440P or better, 32", IPS, 120hz or better, 10-bit or better, freesync, HDR, no curve for $500-$700 AUD. - It's not to much to ask for is it? :P
I would prefer 1440P over 4k due to how much easier it is on the hardware.

Got the Viewsonic VX3209-2K today which is 1440P, 32", 8-bit+FRC, 60hz, No curve for $370 AUD. So if I don't like it I can flog it off to my grandmother as it was not that expensive anyway.
The search for the perfect monitor will of course continue.

^ That's the problems with monitors, that we all want/need different things, with some prioritising high refresh rates, others resolution, size, panel type, etc.

I'm sure that if we all put what we want from a monitor and make a table, not even two of us would describe the same characteristics.

To be honest, I am actually liking 1440P more at 32" than I do at 27". Windows scaling is typically funny and everything felt small on the old 27" 1440P panel.

Others might prefer 4k on a 32" display though, but I am fine with it, the PPI is slightly better than a peasant 1080P 24" monitor, so it's far from terrible.

Just need 120/144hz and 10-bit HDR at a good price and I am happy. One day.

All I want is a 1080p 144hz IPS, no ghosting, no high ms, 27' (maybe more) and definitely not curved.

It feels like the monitors we keep seeing are those still geared towards a specific group, rather than manufacturers making all types and sorts to cover as many angles possible.
