^I also miss the old days, even if sometimes the flash deals were a PITA because they happened whil I was sleeping (mostly during weekends). Nowadays it's more boring, but it also avoids impulse purchases.

On a side note: I miss when we could vote which game would go on a flash sale. Valve could have kept that feature at least.

Oh man I loved the voting feature, it actually made things even more exciting, waiting to see which game would win the vote for a heavy price cut.

Valve has cut out a lot of what made the deals fun and worth looking into, it's more an automated process these days =/.

Well, at least there's one feature that keeps coming back every single sale: the connection problems!

To skyrim or not to skyrim. I generally get too lost in open world games. Also the combat looked super bad but i guess one can do magic, which looks fun.

Or wait for future versions...as some still sit unplayed from before.

The thing is, Skyrim's combat is so bad, I end up going for a mixed class consisting of Archery and spellcasting/minions, so I end up avoiding melee combat at all costs due to how bad it plays and looks. Even though there are combat mods out there, the difficulty also needs to be upgraded when you change up melee, thus making it more tedious to getting it just right. I'd rather stick with bows and spells than bothering with melee.

I really hope the next ES sports a new engine and new melee/spell based combat, otherwise their next game will tank like hell.

I've always loved Skyrim for it's setting, scenery and oh god the music, the music can keep me standing in some places for ages and makes for soothing tunes to mellow out to.

Yea i love the music and ambience of it quite a lot. That is one of the reasons i want to play it, or i guess could just continue to listen to it. Archery and magic does seem like the way to go.

Was the port quality exceptional?. I've been weary of some Japanese RPG games due to port quality. Nier still needs some work done to it before I even consider buying it.

Yee. I played it at max and it ran like butter with zero drops on my 970.

I have seen people being able to play 1080p 60fps on ultra on a 750Ti

Oh

my

freakin god

So I'm trying to add some games to my wishlist for later and I can't even add a few games to the list, they all just crash on each page and give out an error, all this whole a load of devs thought "hyuk hyuk, let's toss out gigs worth of updates on the first day of the sale and strain everything".

Mfw this whole situation right now:

I can't even.

Come on Valve, get those sodding servers sorted out jeez, you've got more than enough money to makes things smoother each year.
