MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS
PS5 Emulator KyTyPS5 Can Boot & Run Gran Turismo 7
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/ps5-emulator-kytyps5-can-boot-run-gran-turismo-7/
Gran Turismo 7 is a game that a lot of PC gamers would love to play on PC. And from the looks of it, this will be possible very soon. The best PlayStation 5 emulator, KyTyPS5, can boot and run Gran Turismo 7.
YouTube’s ‘Unreal Gaming PC’ has shared a video showcasing Gran Turismo 7 running on a custom build of KyTyPS5. To capture this gameplay footage, the YouTuber used an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 64GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080.
Gran Turismo 7 runs at 17-25 FPS on KyTyPS5. The custom build that was used was the “usa-ratt d5bb89e”, which you can download from here (Github). What’s also impressive is that there aren’t any major graphical issues. I’m not certain GT7 is being emulated perfectly yet, but from what I’ve seen, it’s really close to the real PS5 version. And that’s with the game running at 20 FPS. This is mighty astonishing, no matter how you look at it.
It also appears that KyTyPS5 can boot and run UFC 6. The game does not appear to run at playable frame rates. Still, this is another PS5 game that can go in-game with KyTyPS5.
Demon’s Souls Remake has also received performance improvements and optimizations. The game now runs better than ever on KyTyPS5. Below you can find a video showcasing 16 minutes of gameplay. And, as you will see, the game constantly runs above 60 FPS.
Another custom build for KyTyPS5 can also boost GTA 5’s performance. I don’t really know why anyone would want to play the PS5 version, as the game is already available on PC. In fact, the PC version looks way better than the PS5 version. Still, this is a huge deal for emulating PS5 games. It may also be helpful for emulating GTA 6 when it comes out.
All in all, I’m really impressed by what the KyTyPS5 team has done. Yes, they used AI tools to help build the emulator. And yes, some games need custom builds. But I’ve never seen an emulator improve this fast. So, I don’t mind that they used AI to help them make it.

This Doom Mod Adds Fully Destructible Environments, and It Looks Insane
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/this-doom-mod-adds-fully-destructible-environments-and-it-looks-insane/
Now, here is something truly impressive. YouTube’s ‘tuin’ has shared a new version of Tuin-Doom-Enhanced, a customized Windows build based on Duct-Tape DOOM. This latest version of Tuin-Doom-Enhanced adds a Red Faction-like destruction system, allowing you to destroy walls and doors.
Going into more detail, Tuin-Doom-Enhanced adds full destruction to classic Doom. You can blast holes in walls, doors, floors, and ceilings. The game then uses these new holes for both looks and movement. Rockets and barrels can break apart surfaces. You can also use gunfire and other shots to chip away at them and make debris fly.
Damaged doors keep their holes as they move. You can also change how much damage you deal, how deep you dig, and how large each breach can be. And yes, you can walk through damaged doors.
The latest release also fixes several bugs. Plasma hits now work better, and homemade stairs and moving doors run more smoothly. It also fixes the edges of shallow craters, removes floating marks, and restores shootable glass. Small bits of broken surfaces no longer clip through the world.
The October 21 update also brings more performance improvements. The game now reuses crater data instead of doing the same work again. It also cuts the work needed to update damaged doors. Monster path searches now spread out over time, which can help the game run faster. The update also fixes glass hit checks and improves gun-hit effects on damaged surfaces.
All in all, this is a must-have mod for everyone who wants to replay the classic Doom games. If you are one of them, you can download it from here (Github). Below, you can also find a couple of videos for it. These will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect, so be sure to watch them.
Cyberpunk 2077 Gets an Epic Titanfall Mod That Lets You Pilot BT, the Iconic Titan
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/cyberpunk-2077-gets-a-titanfall-inspired-mod-with-a-rideable-titan/
Modders ‘whatmynickname’ and ‘sdh0’ have released an amazing new mod for Cyberpunk 2077. This mod adds a Vanguard-class Titan from Titanfall that fights at your side, complete with its own model, animations, HUD, voice lines, and sound effects. And yes, you can ride the mech and cause chaos in the streets of Night City.
What’s also cool here is that the mod adds a new quest that lets you meet BT. In the demo, you find BT after it crashes in the Badlands. You answer its call for help, fight an Arasaka salvage team, defend BT while it reboots, and take on Militech forces.
Once you meet BT, you can call it down from orbit in any open area. You can climb inside from the front, sides, or rear, then hop out when you want. You can also switch between a first-person view inside the cockpit and a third-person view over BT’s shoulder.
BT comes with a range of weapons and skills. Its XO-16 Chaingun fires fast and has a zoom feature. The Multi-Target Missile System lets you lock on to several foes at once and fire a wave of guided missiles. You can also use the Vortex Shield to catch bullets and send them back at your foes. Other skills include electric smoke, jet jumps, quick dashes, and powerful melee punches.
BT can also fight on its own when you leave the cockpit. It will follow you and use its weapons and skills to help in battle. You can give it four orders: Follow and Fight, Follow and Hold Fire, Hold Position, or Wait.
The mod also adds a feature called Protocol 3. If BT takes too much damage, it pulls you out of the cockpit, throws you to safety, and leaves to get repairs. You then have to wait two minutes before you can call it back.
All in all, this is a truly amazing mod for Cyberpunk 2077, especially if you are a fan of the Titanfall franchise. So, make sure to download it from here (Nexus Mods).

MediEvil PS4 Remake Gets Unofficial PC Port
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/medievil-ps4-remake-gets-unofficial-pc-port/
And here comes another one. An unofficial PC port of the PS4 remake of MediEvil has just been released. As such, PC gamers can enjoy this action-adventure game that was never officially ported to PC.
Going into more detail, the MediEvil PC port lets you play the game from start to finish. It supports the intro movies, menus, gameplay, sound, saves, and loads. It also works with Intel and AMD CPUs, as well as DualSense, Xbox, and other gamepads. You can use a keyboard, too, and change the controls to suit your needs.
The game runs at 60 FPS by default. You can raise the limit to 120 or 240 FPS in the launcher or in-game menu. Higher frame rates are still a work in progress, though. They can cause stutter and require a fast CPU. On an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, the game runs at about 90 to 120 FPS in levels and up to 120 FPS in menus.
The PC port also supports resolutions up to 4K, and it has support for temporal upscaling to boost performance if your GPU is not powerful enough. Moreover, you can pick Low, Medium, Console, High, or Ultra graphics. Higher settings add better shadows, reflections, and detail at a distance. The port also fixes shadow flicker and limits shadow work to help keep busy areas near 60 FPS.
Sound works through the game’s own audio system. The port also mixes surround sound for stereo speakers and headphones. You can choose from all languages found in the PS4 version, no matter which region your copy comes from. If the game lacks text in a chosen language, that text appears in English.
You can save and load your game, with a backup made before each launch. The launcher can install the game from a PKG file and resume if the process stops. It can also check for new releases on GitHub and install updates.
The launcher has a look inspired by MediEvil, with art and fonts taken from your own game copy. It brings key tools into one place, from display and sound options to saves, controls, mods, patches, and cheats. You can also view logs and run checks to help find faults. An in-game menu gives quick access to image settings, VSync, FSR 1, sharpening, frame limits, and live performance data.
You can go ahead and download the PC port from here (Github). As always, it does not contain any in-game assets. To play it, you’ll have to provide your own disc image/ISO.
