What a pointless thing to waste your time and resources to develop.

And the worst PR spokeperson strikes again. He can't stay quiet, can he?
By the way (maybe it has been posted on the thread about the price jump, but the new Decks at thos higher prices have sold out in 24 hours:
https://www.techpowerup.com/349469/valve-steam-deck-sells-out-in-24-hours-despite-price-hike
I, for one, am surprised.
Also, there is a rumor about the price of the Steam Machien and Frame, and it's not good:
Leaker Hints at Astronomical Steam Machine Pricing
https://www.techpowerup.com/349418/leaker-hints-at-astronomical-steam-machine-pricing
Recent moves indicate that Valve is planning an imminent launch for the Steam Machine, but more recently, Valve increased the pricing of its existing Steam Deck hardware across the board by as much as $300. Following the announcement of the Steam Deck price changes, notable industry insider, Brad Lynch, who has previously supplied accurate leaks regarding Valve products, compared the updated Steam Deck pricing to what he had heard about the starting price of the Steam Machine. According to the leaker, the planned Steam Machine pricing from two months ago was "still higher than today's Steam Deck prices."
Not good. Not good at all. The frame may get a pass because it's a unique product, but the Valve should delay or maybe even cancel the Steam Machine because it's not worth it at that price. But well, the Decks have sold out so it seems like people buy whatever.

I see dual-mode monitors as a niche product, but triple-mode? It kind of feels like one of those pointless things brands fight over that most users haven't asked for nor have intention to use. Other than those buying the most expensive hardware to play competitive shooters at the lowest settings possible to get the highest framerate possible.
The Hisense monitor is cool, but too expensive. At that point it competes with the best OLED monitors, and while this new monitor may br brighter, OLEDs have other advantages that make them a better choice for gamers.
For professionals, the extra brightness and lack of burn-in worries may make it more enticing, but calibration will matter as much.

The thing is, letters in a word isn't something that LLMs can do like humans do because they think in tokens. What you're asking is more akin to how many [554]s are there in [331][7856] in that the answer isn't immediately obvious from the question. Of course, Google's AI Overview model being an outdated (Gemini 1.5-like?) extremely quantized to keep costs down and make it cheaper than standard Google Search doesn't help matters either. |
I get it, thanks for the explanation, but still hate it and how they want to leave us with no other option than to use it.

I don't know if those are single/multi-core scores for their N1X chip or something else entirely, but I'm pretty sure it won't be the beginning of a new era of anything.
Please excuse my bad English.

I agree, and you can still add "-ai" at the end of your search to just have the plain results, at least.
At the end of the day, it comes down to offering the cheapest service they can get away with and, perhaps even more importantly internally for DeepMind, collecting tons of feedback data from A/B testing on the way.

Coordinates of Taipei Music Center, where Computex is to be held.
Honestly, if N1X is anything like Apple ARM approach to CPUs, which have additional hardware that makes x86/x64 code run on them much better than on usual ARM CPUs, then yeah, it very much could be beginning of new era, with x86 code running almost at native speed and compatibility.
But, on the other hand, maybe it has nothing to do with that and it's some marketing PR rubbish.

I should have known because of those four decimals, but I hadn't realized that Taiwan was so close to the Equator.
The problem of the M chips from Apple is that they're designed/tuned tto excel at certain tasks, but lag behind in others. And I expect something similar from these Nvidia chips.
Please excuse my bad English.

Main issue is how ARM and x86/64 treat memory - Apple solved that, and that's why their Intel era apps run perfectly fine on new ARM based CPUs.
Regular Windows or ARM Windows like the one powering the Snapdragon laptops?

Those Snapdragon SoCs are pretty much regular ARM CPUs, maybe with little bit extra (though I'm not sure about that), and, especially in games, have the problems that usual x86/64 to ARM translations have. If N1X is more like Apple M chips, then it's pretty different game, pun intended. But that's a big if.
