I can confirm, it also looks like it's getting better by the day in Europe. The number of available cards seems to stay above 20 in my main store, sometimes even going above 40 available RDNA4+Blackwell cards. Prices of the 5070 and 9070 have also mostly come down here with cheapest cards now available for 659€ and 674€ respectively, so just a relatively small markup in line for the OC cards they are. Anything above those are still heavily inflated though, especially the 5070Ti. 1069€ for the only one that was available? GTFO! 9070XT isn't quite as bad but still stuck at 799€, 5080 at 1449€ and the 5090 at an eye-watering 3229€. |
3 weeks later, and the prices of the GPUs are in freefall - especially NVidia GPUs.
The 5070 has now dropped to 599€, so below MSRP in Europe. The 9070 meanwhile got a bit cheaper, but with 655€, it's a much smaller difference.
The 5070Ti is the one that dropped by far the most, now available for "just 889€, almost a 200€ drop in 3 weeks for what is probably the best GPU NVidia has in it's lineup right now. It did push the 9070XT to drop in price too, but not nearly as much, just down to 758€.
The 5080 also dropped hard to 1229€ while the 5090 is now available for "just" 2798€, a more than 200€ and 400€ drop in price respectively in just 3 weeks.
As for the newly launched 5060Ti, the 8GB version is available for €399 while the 16GB version is sold out, showing that even casual consumers don't want the 8GB version even at MSRP.
Stocks are not an issue anymore on NVidia's side apart from the newly launched 5060Ti (of which there are only 2 8GB models, the second one at a ludicrous 532€ btw), which is pretty normal and should be stabilized in a week or two. It also shows that nobody wants a 5070 as there are 25 out of 27 models that are in stock, compared to 12 5080s, 10 5070Ti and 7 5090.
AMD however still has problems shipping enough GPUs, as there are only 5 9070XT and 2 9070 available. Hopefully the 9060 models and the potential worldwide release of the 9070GRE will relieve them of some pressure while they're waiting for more wafer shipments.
