Ayy lmao, fuck off SE.

Wasn't gonna buy it anyway, their previous triple whammy deals with EGS made sure I wouldn't be buying from them ever again, this is like the quadruple slam dunk for "fuck everyone else".

Most hyped up game.

I'll buy it on PS5 when I get my PS5 next holiday - hopefully the rumor about the new SKU is true so I can get that instead of the current PS5.

Also will get it on PC in a few years later when its cheaper (its what I did with FFXV).

If the RTX 4080 12GB at $899 was a joke, the 4070Ti at the same price is even a bigger joke.

Was to be expected, really. After all, all that NVidia said was that the 4080 12GB had a naming problem, but never said it had a pricing problem.

Just like 10 nm six years ago, it's looking like the new "Intel 4" CPUs are a distant dream at this point... maybe the US government should just nationalize Intel's foundries at this point, since it's clear that their R&D isn't cutting the biscuit.

Yeah, and that's after 5 Generations of 10nm FinFet Intel 7 (Cannon Lake, Ice Lake, Tiger Lake, Alder Lake and Raptor Lake), so the next one is already years behind.

Meteor Lake will probably be mobile only, like Ice Lake and Tiger Lake before. Those chips are smaller, as such it will not hurt so much if the yield rate ain't there yet for the big desktop chip.

All Intel can hope is that AMD needs 2 years for Zen 5, if it comes out next year already they'll get slaughtered. By then DDR5 prices should be close to DDR4 prices and cheaper boards should also be out by then, so the platform price advantage would be mostly gone, too.

Both NVidia and Intel came with hew GPUs during that quarter (and the NVidia one sold out pretty fast despite it's price), so I'll wait for the next quarter after Navi 3x launched to see if it's just a blip due to the launches or if this is the new hierarchy.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX & RX 7900 XT 3DMark GPU Benchmarks Leak, Trading Blows With The NVIDIA RTX 4080

https://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-rx-7900-xt-3dmark-gpu-benchmarks-leak-trade-blows-with-nvidia-rtx-4080/

Absolutely trash tier of an architecture if true. I suspect 7900XTX will still beat the 4080 but likely by 5-10% at best in Raster and will get rolfstomped in everything else. Considering AIB prices for 7900XTX will be more so around $1300 USD, yea this is horrid if it turns out to be true.

This one I don't doubt in considering Nvidia has Optix render that can rolfstomp CDNA despite CDNA being workstation and Ampere/Lovelace being consumer

SALES /PLAYER COUNT & DEALS

First of all, a correction. Yesterday I said that the Epic Store would unveil a new, mysterious, free game "in 7 hours". Well, it turns out that I didn't pay enough attention because it wasn't hours, but days. So yeah, sorry, my bad. Nothing new from the Epic Store until its usual Thursday update. With that said, I'd also like to remind or inform you (it depends if you've seen it somewhere else or not), that next week should mark the start of its Christmas Sale and they'll be giving away one free game per day.

Red Dead Redemption 2 mod gives Arthur a moonshine operation like Red Dead Online's
https://www.pcgamer.com/red-dead-redemption-2-mod-gives-arthur-a-moonshine-operation-like-red-dead-onlines/
As everyone eagerly awaits Grand Theft Auto 6, many Read Dead Redemption 2 superfans are feeling a bit left out in the cold. There doesn't even feel like a slim chance of more DLC being added to RDR2 at this point, and Rockstar confirmed in July that Red Dead Online won't receive any more "major" updates, either. Development-wise, the grand cowboy adventure feels like a ghost town.
Modders haven't given up, though, and if you're looking for a new activity in RDR2 singleplayer, I've got some boozy news for you. The moonshiner role from Red Dead Online has been recreated in a mod for singleplayer RDR2, so you can put Arthur Morgan to work on a new career as a bootlegger.

Halo: MCC's weirdly great post-launch support continues with Steam Workshop integration
https://www.pcgamer.com/halo-mccs-weirdly-great-post-launch-support-continues-with-steam-workshop-integration/
It's largely been forgotten about now, but Halo: The Master Chief Collection launched on Xbox One in an absolute state. (...) All of which suggests that, back in that launch period, Microsoft had some serious internal discussion about how it had presented its supposed icon of the Master Chief (and in a collection bearing his name). 343 Industries clearly has both the will and the funding to continue improving the game. And now, in what may make the biggest difference to the game's PC playerbase yet, it's added Steam Workshop integration out of nowhere.

https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-phantom-liberty-stars-the-only-guy-cooler-than-keanu-reeves-idris-elba/
Keanu Reeves was undeniably the coolest guy in Cyberpunk 2077, but the new trailer shown at The Game Awards for upcoming expansion Phantom Liberty puts his title in serious doubt. Genshin Impact emerges victorious in the bitter Game Awards war against Sonic Frontiers
https://www.pcgamer.com/genshin-impact-emerges-victorious-in-the-bitter-game-awards-war-against-sonic-frontiers/
The Game Awards was such a bizarre fever dream this year. The show alone housed an eight-minute acceptance speech straight off the bat. Then there was the stage-crasher who appeared during Elden Ring's GOTY speech and somehow wasn't immediately booted off. Perhaps the weirdest thing throughout all this, though, has been the bitter fight between the Genshin Impact and Sonic fandoms over the ceremony's most pointless award: the Players' Voice.
(...)
Well, things are finally over, and it seems not even Sonic's ultra-passionate community could stop the Genshin Impact train. During The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley awkwardly laughed through the "100% fan-voted category" nominees, adding "you guys were very busy voting the past few days." He even threw in a sly jab at the bot accusations, all but confirming some foul play had taken place. "Once we took out all the bot votes, the game award goes to Genshin Impact."
