Are the DLCs included in Two Point Hospital? As far as I know, you can't buy DLCs for Prime Gaming games.

AMD announces Radeon RX 6500XT at 199 USD, available on January 19th

https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-announces-radeon-rx-6500xt-at-199-usd-available-on-january-19th

Pretty yikes. $200 GPU being compared to a RX570 and 1650 in 2022?

AMD Confirms Ryzen 7 5800X3D With 3D V-Cache Coming Spring 2022, Next-Gen Zen 4 Ryzen ‘Raphael’ CPUs Coming To Socket AM5 In 2H 2022

https://wccftech.com/amd-confirms-ryzen-7-5800x3d-3d-v-cache-coming-spring-2022-zen-4-ryzen-raphael-cpus-coming-to-socket-am5-2h-2022/

Pretty impressive performance. Surprised it's only coming in the 8 core variant but with Zen 4 and AM5 coming out so soon, it's probably not worth it for them to invest all that much into 5000 Vcache.

AMD 6nm Ryzen 6000 ‘Rembrandt’ APUs Official: Up To 8 Zen 3+ Cores, 5 GHz Clocks With MAX Shift Tech, Integrated RDNA 2 GPUs Up To Radeon 680M

https://wccftech.com/amd-6nm-ryzen-6000-rembrandt-apus-official-up-to-8-zen-3-cores-5-ghz-clocks-with-max-shift-tech-integrated-rdna-2-gpus-up-to-radeon-680m/

Pretty impressive showing with their mobile CPU and a new platform with PCI-E gen 4, USB 4 and LPDDR5/DDR5. It will be interesting to see what Intel has in store.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut PC Version Seemingly Confirmed, Will Be the First Game to Support Intel’s XeSS

https://wccftech.com/death-stranding-directors-cut-pc-version-seemingly-confirmed-will-be-the-first-game-to-support-intels-xess/

I am glad it's Death Stranding as it will be a good comparison point between DLSS and XeSS

Intel announces 12th Gen Core Alder Lake mobile processors, 14-core i9-12900HK up to 5.0 GHz

https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-announces-12th-gen-core-alder-lake-mobile-processors-14-core-i9-12900hk-up-to-5-0-ghz

Kind of weird that it has a max of 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores instead of 8 performance cores.

Was hoping for a new desktop apu announcement for a potential tiny desktop build. The GPU performance in the 6800U is very promising.

The Tuesday news... and we're back to only one post:

SALES /PLAYER COUNT & DEALS

Steam starts 2022 with a new concurrent user record of 27.9M
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/steam-starts-2022-with-a-new-concurrent-user-record-of-279m/
Steam is off to a strong start in 2022 with yet another all-time concurrent user record, achieving just shy of 28 million people on the platform all at the same time.
The specific number of 27,942,036, as recorded by SteamDB, was set on January 2, just over a month after Steam surpassed 27 million concurrent users for the first time ever in late November 2021. More than 8.2 million of those people were actively gaming, which is also a considerable jump over the November numbers, although not as a proportion of total users: 8.1 million people were actively gaming simultaneously on April 4, 2020, out of a total concurrent user count of 24.5 million.
>> Conina already took notice of this in his impressive "Monthly Steam hardware survey analysis" thread, but not all of you may have seen it.

MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS

Veronica, Rose, and other New Vegas followers modded into Fallout 4
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/veronica-rose-and-other-new-vegas-followers-modded-into-fallout-4/
It's hard to say goodbye to old friends, so here's a thought: don't do that. Instead of leaving them behind, bring them with you. Even when you start playing a different game.
The New Vegas Companions mod transplants some of your favorite companions (though maybe not your most favorite companion) from Nevada into Fallout 4. And you don't even need to pick them up at the airport, though you will need to venture into another Fallout 4 mod, Project Mojave, to reach them.
Project Mojave, as you might know, is a mod that adds locations from Fallout: New Vegas as playable areas in Fallout 4. It includes the Vegas strip, Nipton, the Good Luck Trailer Park, several casino suites, and more. And if you visit those areas with the New Vegas Companions mod installed, you'll be able to find and re-recruit some of your old friends.

New Haunted Chocolatier screenshots show off ghosts conducting sweets science
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/new-haunted-chocolatier-screenshots-show-off-ghosts-conducting-sweets-science/
Haunted Chocolatier, the next game from Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone, is still in early development. As with in-progress Stardew updates, though, Barone likes to share little tastes of what he's working on now and then, and over the holiday he posted a few screenshots of the candy shop and town sim. This time we've been treated to some especially fresh chocolate-concocting ghosts and a school bus turned vegetable plot.

Ken Levine's new game may still be years away
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/ken-levines-new-game-may-still-be-years-away/
BioShock creator Ken Levine announced in 2014 that he was winding down Irrational Games, the studio he co-founded in 1997, in order to start a smaller, "more entrepreneurial" project at Take Two Interactive. (...)
Despite all the years that have passed since then, the revamped studio—now known as Ghost Story—still hasn't released a game. A new Bloomberg report claims that much of the reason for that is Levine himself: Current and former employees who spoke to the site said Levine's management style can be difficult, and that he doesn't hesitate to scrap weeks or months of work if he feels it somehow falls short.

Resident Evil Village wins Game of the Year in the 2021 Steam Awards
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/resident-evil-village-wins-game-of-the-year-in-the-2021-steam-awards/
The votes have been tallied and the winners announced, and Resident Evil Village has beat out Valheim, New World, Cyberpunk 2077, and Forza Horizon 5 to claim the Game of the Year title in the 2021 Steam Awards.
>> Only 2 of the games I voted for have won their category.

Elden Ring's graphics team felt pressured by the Demon's Souls remake
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/elden-rings-graphics-team-felt-pressured-by-the-demons-souls-remake/
Elden Ring's greatest competition is apparently its younger sibling, Demon's Souls. The PlayStation 5 remake that launched alongside the new console in 2020 was a lot prettier (and to some, less distinct) than the original Demon's Souls, and the striking makeover put extra pressure on Elden Ring's graphics team, according to creative director Hidetaka Miyazaki, who was recently interviewed by Edge magazine.

I dont think so.

Some games from what I looked up - apparently if there's a DRM free version of the DLCs, you could copy and paste them through there but I've never tried it. (Though Two Point Hospital doesnt have a DRM free version so it doesnt matter).

There's responses for other games I've seen where the devs/publishers added in the DLC but for others (like Paradox) - no DLC support.

Strange that they would do that lol.

If Paradox hasn't put its DLCs there, it means  that there must be some kind of problem.

After all, Paradox is, by far, the king of DLCs. For better or worse.

It's a bit surprising that they're only releasing the 5800X3D, specially given that they first talked about this last year with the 5900X as an example. But yeah, they may not want to cannibalize future Zen4 sales with the 3D chips.

By the way, have you read the rumor about Zen4 and its mix of cores? It would be incredible (if true).

NVIDIA Expands Its GeForce RTX 30 Lineup With 3090 Ti, RTX 3080 12 GB, RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB & RTX 3050 8 GB Graphics Cards

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-expands-its-geforce-rtx-30-lineup-with-rtx-3080-12-gb-rtx-3070-ti-16-gb-rtx-3050-8-gb-graphics-cards/

3050 has an MSRP of $249 and will be releasing on 27th January. Personally I'd get a 3050 over 6500 as you get the benefits of Tensor cores like DLSS, Nvidia's Ray Tracing advantage and it will age better as it has higher bit bus and more vram.

Yea Zen 4 is certainly going to be interesting. AMD certainly going to put up a pretty big fight. 2022 is gonna be pretty hype for PC gamers.

Alienware drops an insane Quantum Dot OLED gaming monitor at CES

https://www.windowscentral.com/alienware-aw3423dw-ces

"The result is a 34-inch ultrawide monitor with a 1800R curve and 21:9 aspect ratio. And since this is a gaming display, that OLED panel comes paired with gamer-friendly specs. Over DisplayPort, you can push a 3440 x 1400 resolution at 175Hz, while over HDMI the same resolution drops the refresh rate to a still respectable 100Hz."

"With an OLED monitor such as this, though, color is obviously important. And not just for gaming, after all, this is an ultrawide OLED panel, so Alienware has thought of content creators as well. It supports 99.3% DCI-P3, HDR with 1000 nits peak brightness, and the choice to switch between color spaces at your discretion."

No HDMI 2.1 so can't win em all I suppose. Still sounds hella fap worthy
