Pretty impressive performance. Surprised it's only coming in the 8 core variant but with Zen 4 and AM5 coming out so soon, it's probably not worth it for them to invest all that much into 5000 Vcache.

It's a bit surprising that they're only releasing the 5800X3D, specially given that they first talked about this last year with the 5900X as an example. But yeah, they may not want to cannibalize future Zen4 sales with the 3D chips.

By the way, have you read the rumor about Zen4 and its mix of cores? It would be incredible (if true).

Yea Zen 4 is certainly going to be interesting. AMD certainly going to put up a pretty big fight. 2022 is gonna be pretty hype for PC gamers.
