I think it doesn't, but I'll check the rumors...

*Edit*

It didn't too long: NO. Intel is supposed to introduce PCIe 4.0 with the 12th gen, if this rumor about Alder Lake is true.

Welp that means SSDs on Intel platforms can't reach ps5 speeds for a while unless you count Optane.

Will you really need it, tho?

PS5 exclusives, unless things change, won't reach PC, and given that multiplats will also need to work on the XsX with its much slower NVMe drive, they'll be able to work just fine on PCs with similar drives.

One thing to wonder is if besides CPU, RAM and GPU requirements, we will also start to see req. about our storage kind and its speed.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

That's true but would have been better to have the option than not at all.

You could have mentioned Mable & the Wood on GOG again here while you were at it

I'm sure we will have options, given that there are HDDs, SSDs and NVMe drives on PCs.

I saw it, but it's rather hidden compared to having a separate post like the other one, so it might bare repeating if that happens.

Oh, and Tomb raider is also available for free on Steam right now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/203160/Tomb_Raider/?snr=1_4_4__40_2

True. And at 2.2Ghz RDNA2 wouldn't even need that many CU to get really dangerous, 48 could already suffice if Ampere isn't a huge jump forward, otherwise 56 would be really dangerous for NVidia.

I just hope Sony didn't overdo it with 2.2Ghz. RRoD, anyone?

It would be hilarious is Sony had a problem of that kind .

Had the same thought about RROD, but labelled it RVOD specifically for PS5.

If not overheating, a gigantic form factor would be just about as bad. Like PS3 vs 360, but bigger than a mini fridge this time.

PS1   - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.

PS2  - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.

PS3   - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.

PS4   - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.

PRO  -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.

Well, there was no DSOGaming nor PCGamer article about it, and given that it was Friday and that I usually post the GOG and Steam related weekend deals at the end of the second post, I thought that putting it there was the best option.

I have to say that I've thought several time about putting those weekend deals in the first post, with the rest of the deals, to make it easier to see.

Also, yes Tomb Raider 2013 and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris are both free. they weren't still free when I made the news, but left a subtle notice in the article about Deiland being free and Offroad Racing being free to try.

And now that we're at it, there are other free games:

Thinking about it, maybe that's why the dev kit has that shape and so many openings for airflow. Can you imagine if the end product ends being similar (but more stylized) to the dev kit we've seen?
