It didn't too long: NO. Intel is supposed to introduce PCIe 4.0 with the 12th gen, if this rumor about Alder Lake is true.

Welp that means SSDs on Intel platforms can't reach ps5 speeds for a while unless you count Optane.

Will you really need it, tho?

PS5 exclusives, unless things change, won't reach PC, and given that multiplats will also need to work on the XsX with its much slower NVMe drive, they'll be able to work just fine on PCs with similar drives.

One thing to wonder is if besides CPU, RAM and GPU requirements, we will also start to see req. about our storage kind and its speed.
