I use cheese and butter but avoid all meat/fish/poultry. Honey I don't have an issue with. Eggs I pass on whenever possible, if they are in a baked good i have not made, oh well. I bake without them.

Vegetarian since the early 1990s.

Out of curiosity, why do you avoid eating eggs?

Partially it is because they are not a favourite food (I don't drink milk because I don't like it as well). But mostly because of the egg farming practices, I still buy them for my wife and daughter but I always get free range cruelty free eggs, often from a farmer with a small opperation. Factory farming stresses the chickens and produces a very poor product from a quality perpective, and salmonella rates are very high in factory eggs.

I just don't eat land meats.
Basically, anything that walks or flies.
Eggs are fine, fish is fine, dairy is fine. I basically just cut out red meat and fowl.

Porpoise is ok?

Only if it's by accident.

I drink milk and eat honey. That's it.

Sometimes there's egg in things and I accidentally eat it. They make it hard, but I try.

I avoid garlic and onions where possible - yogi diet.

I'm super healthy, fit, strong and well built. The heresay about vegetarianism is complete bullshit. It's been almost 10 years.

I want to say that I think scallops should be on the diet of most vegatarians...they can be farmed sustainably, have no central nervous system (can't feel pain) and aren't capable of free movement. On top of that, everything that is lacking in a vegan diet is found in abundance in them.

Not very far seeing how being a Vegan is not very healthy....

You're so ignorant it's not even real.

Some people who are "vegetarians" do eat some types of meat, like white meat, and eat eggs. It depends how far you want to go. There is no clear answer.

You're....you're not actually serious are you?

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

Restricting yourself to a Vegan diet means your missing out on vital nutrients that are in meats and other animal by-products. The healthiest way to live is to have a well balanced diet which can be attained with a less strict Vegan diet but cutting out all forms of animal by-products is not balanced.

My family experiemented with vegan and vegetarian diets but found that getting things like meat and milk from a local free-range, grass fed farms and eating the meat in moderation is great for you.
