WHO WON??

Sony's PS3 419 34.57%

Microsoft's Xbox 360 102 8.42%

Nintendo's Wii 691 57.01%

Total:1,212

Microsoft made more money from Xbox........so obviously Xbox 360 won the 7th generation of consoles.

The Nintendo Wii for sales.

The Sony PS3 for comeback after a heavy loss in the beginning.

The Microsoft Xbox360 for being the ultimate underdog who came to the top over the past king.

But we all know it was Tablets, Smartphones and PC that dominated the gaming front!

Pretty sure that year head start had something to do with that, considering they're behind again.

Compared to the previous gens... Nintendo blew away everyone, Sony really fell from grace but managed to walk away from the fall, and Microsoft managed to gain significant foothold while not producing the same results that Nintendo did (although it definitely had a better longterm strategy heading into this gen).

Wii because of sales.
PS3 because of its comeback and its library of games.
Xbox 360 because it conquered a lot of market share that previously belonged to Sony.

I would honestly call it a three way tie, with all three having Pros and Cons.

Wii:
+ Easily profited the most and more importantly proved Nintendo isn't dead yet.

- Alienated third parties further and fell way behind in the online space. Essentially they set themselves up to fail with their next one.

Xbox 360:
+ Captured major American market share and established the Xbox brand as something worth remembering.
- Overall there was only a slight profit made while still having ~6 Billion dollars in debt still left over from the previous Xbox.
-Sold worse in Japan than previously (Somehow!) and still failed to gain more world wide market share than competitors.

PS3:
+Proved a higher price point won't always fail and will go on to sell around the same amount as the Wii if not slightly ahead.
+Went from mediocre online support to arguably the best.
+Set themselves up for a great successor by keeping the games flowing and clawing back market share.
-Will essentially break even overall.
-Lost its major dominating position in the market.

i think you would have a better answer in asking which of the 3 are still relevant to play now?

Regardless its a feat worth praising - who would thought years ago that something like the Xbox (Original) would have a successor system like the 360.

No doubt, X360 was an incredible jump from the Xbox.

All of them are..

Even though the gas went off early for the Wii, it is clear its sold the most, not to mention its the one that generate the most profit of them.

Wii and DS.

Pretty simple answer and I have no clue why anyone would argue anything different.

There it is.

Not really debate here, Nintendo won by clear margin.
