I'm still bit disappointed that it's not some sort of break-apart controller, allowing MOVE-like controls when required/preferred. (yeah, after all these years, I still think playing FPS/TPS with controllers sucks)

Still, it looks like a massive improvement over previous Sony controllers (never liked those, specially convex sticks).

Oh, and please don't feed the troll.

I actually think everyone would say the same thing if The DS4 had a MS logo on it and the X1 controller had a Sony logo. That the one of my preffered console is better... They are just controllers.. People act like they are marrying one..

Yes, it is the real Gen 8 controller with new features like Touchpad, light bar, Mono speaker(for radio/background sounds), Share button and improved triggers/sticks.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

So having another form of input is a gimmick? It's not like the sixasis, or the analog face buttons. That's like me saying that the impulse triggers is a gimmick. I just love how people bash the other consoles no matter what. The touchpad will be used in most exclusives and some third party games. Like in Killzone, you can control the Owl with the touchpad. Could you control it without it, of course. But the touchpad opens up the other buttons for use.

Yeah, pointless arguements here. In the end it's all down to preference. I prefer aligned analog sticks, a d-pad that works and R1 and L1 as aim and fire buttons. Not to mention the DS3 wasn't giant.

Yet the 360 controller had it's benefits, better analog stick design (which Sony have replicated on DS4) and better back triggers, but then they were used as aim and fire for that reason, larger for those with bigger hands.

All subjective. I look forward to using both new controllers.

PS4 controller is the best of both worlds. Fans of 360 triggers will like the playability of shooting with that and Sony fans will enjoy the bumpers for shooting. No one gets left behind next gen. The grip has been changed and the controller is heavier so year its a world of improvement upon the previous controller.
