I don't get your reference to a multiplatform game with Timed exclusive content...

What about Battlefield designer?

This is vague...care to elaborate..

When he said that Bungie liked the controller you replied with "I don't get your reference to a multiplatform game with Timed exclusive content..." so I replied with even the "lead designer" for Battlefield thinks that it's a good controller.

Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying though.

What I find interesting is that some of the advantages 360 fans always boasted about the 360 controller over the PS3 controller (heavier, more resistance in the thumbsticks, and better for larger hands), MS have done away with.  According to Tech Radar, the One's controller is lighter than the 360's.  It was redesigned with smaller/female hands in mind.  It requires ~25% less force to move the analog sticks.  Sony, on the other hand, seems to have made a controller that meets somewhere in between.  It does look like it may become the preferred controller of next gen.

Developers at Bungie said that they like it actually. I believe they said themselves that they helped design it and gave feedback as it was being made if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: And from what I have heard they are pretty good at making FPS games.

I've heard this absolutely nowhere....Link a source to this if you have it...

And the only FPS games Bungie has Made Is Halo, Marathon, pathWays into darkness..... So I'm not sure which one you heard was good...

I still think the thumbsticks right next to each other is very uncomfortable. X360's layout is hands down the best ever. Thumbsticks are in a very natural position.

Using that logic, the face buttons and the right analog stick should be switched.

Bungie COO, Pete Parsons, has revealed that Sony has contacted them to get feedback on PS4′s controller.

It’s a known fact that the PS4 hardware team had visited a lot of studios–internal and third party–to design the DualShock 4, and considering Bungie was contacted too, things are looking good for FPSs on the system.

“Sony’s hardware team was great. They contacted us early in the process to get feedback on the DualShock 4,” Parsons said.

“We make action games, and our feedback was simple. We wanted to make sure that the DS4 really paired up well with Destiny’s gameplay. For us, that meant the controller needed to feel more substantial, and triggers needed to be concave.”

The controller sports a good feel and has reduced lag, which is very much important for first person shooters. It looks like the company has taken all the DualShock 3 criticisms in mind and have designed a controller which accommodates all types of gamers.

Ditto. Was "Start. Share" a hard combination? I like the idea but a dedicated button is overkill.

Actually comparing side-by-side changes my opinion. That XB1 controller looks horrible. The DS4 is two pistol-grips joined at the hip. The XB1 is grabbing batarang-shaped brick. Not look comfy.

yes a button to a sub menu with more features than just Share would of been more probable...

The analog locations are a big impact...yet again the Dual Shock analog sticks are place side side making FPS gams akward in comparison the Xbox contorller..

I like the d pad to be to the top left when it comes to my fighters.

The playstation D pad has been king since the Sega Saturn died Stoped shipping...the Xbox Dpad finnally looks like something useable in a fighting game but PS Dpad will proly still have edge over it..

And out of those 3 games that you mentioned... I am really not sure. I want to say Halo though. Could be wrong.

I never had a problem with Sony controllers.

http://howmuchaction.blogspot.com tells you how much action is in movies.

We should all be real...What multiplatform Dev is going to fall victim to a journalist stab at the playstation controller when it comes to FPS games on both consoles...

Nah can't beat the Xbox controller, but it looks much better than the DS3.
