Forums - Gaming - The PS4 Controller Is The Definitive Controller For Gen8?

Not everybody is praising it and especially not everybody sais it's better than Xbone-controller :) But of course it is bias and personal likings. At least they changed the DS3 and I am looking forward to get a grip on DS4.

It's easy... just show me one article or dev words not praising the DS4... and yes, most of them says it is better than Xbone controller.

what if I tell you there is just a simple solution for L2 and R2.

I don't say no one is praising it. And as you say "most" I want *you* to show me the complete list of all mentions and then show me which from this list say it's better than the Xbone-controller. But either way, this will not change the opinion of customers, of course. The 360-controller was better for many people but this didn't stop the success of PS3.

In the end both will be close to perfect for gaming.

Until they move the left analogue it'll never be my preferred controller. As for the touchpad integration, it'll be a pointless gimmick, another sixaxis affair imo.

DS4 looks like it will make FpS handling garbage..Did it really need a share button?.....And not sure where tough pad gaming is going...

Games like Watch Dogs uses pretty well the touch pad

Writing messages on digital keyboard, navigating menus, internet, special moves in game (like flipping switches, etc), definitely a whole bunch of japanese ero game usage (petting, touching, rubbing), drawing, better aiming with precise minute movements, more intuitive tactile control type, zooming in (pinching), plus it's just a nice huge button to push (which is always satisfying).

What if I tell you there was never an issue with them.

Until the Xbone controller moves the stick so they are aligned, it'll never be my prefered controller. And rumble in the trigger buttons is a gimmick as well.

Personal opinion in this thread is funny, controller preference is easily the biggest fanboyism in gaming.

Hmm, pie.

The six axis is nor a gimmick is actually very useful forshooters just wasn't used. The analog sick placement on the xbox brand of controllers was only done to be different from ps2 and is the dumbest feature of those controllers

But what's the point? Both systems have great controllers. There is no point to me in saying one is better than the other. It was different with DS3 and 360 but now I think it's really just personal likings.

I prefer the position of the Xbox controller's analog sticks. Its not comfortable to use the Playstation analogs the way they are positioned. As long as it keeps the current configuration it will never be as good as the Xbox controller and that is my opinion, however, the majority agrees with me.
