Why are you guessing that the previously posted 1.3m is lower now? It said around 500k in the US and 120k in the UK in the article and the numbers posted today are on that range.

| Munkeh111 said: So what happened to that 1.3m for the Last of Us that we were told earlier in the week? Anyway, 1m is still a good start, 2nd week in the UK was down by 48%, so spread that ww and you have a solid 1.5m after 1 1/2 weeks. Great game, great sales, bring on the next Naughty Dog game! |
This.
Why is it being questioned ?
What are people talking here. The 1.3 million was legit since it consisted the whole world. (Including Middle-East, Australia, South-Africa etc). It was an estimation since it could have been slightly less or more. And a lot downloaded a digital version. Still waiting for later this day for world numbers.

Why did you ever bother putting The Last of Us is in the thread title if you don't know how well it performed?
animal crossing is growing, plus they did great advertisement campaign for it( cant say the same for the wii u)
Nsanity: Because when it come to the PSN, I'm not sure how successful full games sell digitally.

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen. By: Suke |
Huge debut, I personally think it's the game that changes the pendulum for 3DS sales in the West. Not even 2D Mario had that impact (and it released the same week as the 3DS XL)
To whoever did that 500k LT bet for AC: NL in the US - it's time for a new signature

I imagine so. As well as in Japan? Doubtful, but still good no doubt.
