I whole heartidly agree. It's even a sickening defense. Literally my stomach pinches me everytime someone uses it.


Specially since she is immediately recognizable and one of hollywood's young rising stars.

This thread is killing me.  Absolutely hilarious.  Does Ellie kind of look like Ellen Page?  Yes--and several million other females with brown hair.  It is so awesome to me that there are people who think Ellen Page is the only girl with brown hair and a small face in existence.  I've seen some seriously convoluted ideas before, but the position that Ellen Page is especially distinctive is just bloody wonderful.

I don't see the similarities.

I don't think the changes to Ellie had anything to do with this either. They specifically said they wanted to make her look younger, which completely made sense when I played the game.

The only thing an actor/actress has is their face and voice to sell, how is it not quite justified for her to want to look after her likeness.  The game is quite good but what if this likeness was used in a more "adult" game where the character was of less repute, would that be acceptable for her image to be demeaned? Games companies shouldn't really model looks on individuals unless they're prepared to pay for the likeness or at least obtain permission, that's not to say that ND did of course.  There are a lot of people in the world so it's not easy to avoid all likeness from people.
