Forums - Gaming - Just started the TLOU and I have a problem

Did you check the option? Maybe you can turn off motion controls, not sure.

The game asks to shake the controller every once in a while, but I still haven't figured out what it actually does. :p

That never happened to me.

Weird.

It just happened to me in one small part of the game when your flashlight starts fickering.  I forget what part though.  Playing through it again on Survivor so ill pay attention to that.  I rarely turn on my flashlight.

@OP My only recommendation is to just go through that part the best you can without your flashlight.

If you keep your flashlight on for too long you need to charge it by tilting the controller.

No, it's only used for the flashlight. Try turning the flashlight on and off, or leaving it for a bit.

It starts flashing at random.

In the bottom left it shows a controller shaking, and when I shake the controller it goes away. Never noticed any difference though before and after shaking the controller.

Let's ask the Naughty Dog expert Aldro. :p

You shake the controller to recharge your flashlight whenever its low on power.

I don't use the flashlight much, so I didn't notice it.

I had the flash light on for much of game. Except when I was doing stealth with humans.

You tilt the control to recharge the flashlight. I don't think there is any other way to do that command.

I dont think the flashlight is necessary in most cases. I would always turn it off near the infected even though I know they dont notice it. I think you should be able to make it without one.

I've had to shake the controller a few times so far and I hardly use the flashlight, but if you can't shake it turn it off for a bit them turn it on again maybe

You're suppose to tap the controller with your hand like you're tapping a flashlight in order to make it "recharge".

Or rather said: Hit your palm with the controller.
