Forums - Microsoft - A Vocal Minority Of Idiots (& Journalists) Ruin Innovations On The Xbox One

Exactly... the majority of people that buy consoles on stores and not forums users showed to MS they won't buy the system like it was... now after the news the preorders begin to increase in MS favor in US.

Clearly someone is paying those prices in enough volume to justify keeping it there. If nobody bought those games, they would go down in price like everything else. That just tells me people tend to be more affluent or spend more on Xbox marketplace, probably not an unreasonable assumption.

I'm appauled. Oh yes, there are some people that pay it. Shall we leave the Xbox live platform for them then? Since its obviously that that restrict group gets wallet raped willingly because they dont know better and they obviously are the target.

Who cares about the other customers aslong as they can fool a handful of schumps huh?!

I sincerely cant understand the people that defend these practices, i really cant.

I can't see anyone defending them. :/ ???

The OP has largely defended them in most of his recent posts

I have to ask and I am not trying to be funny just a little curious here.

I saw someone post that we are stuck in another generation just with better graphics and no innovation WITHOUT EVEN playing ANY of the games yet. Just what type of innovation can no longer be achieved now? How does this policy change any type of "innovation"? WHAT WAS THE INNOVATION TO START WITH?

Also I have to ask I have seen some AWESOME PC games, and can understand why PC gamers feel so superior, but most of the best PC games come to consoles. And the ones that don't I can't see what makes them so innovative and better than a console game. I get that they play better, look better and run better on a PC but other than that what is so different?

Anyway OT

MS made a VERY smart move for themselves and for the industry by freeing up "choice". And STILL being able to implement anything some people feel they have taken away later on down the line. So CHILL OUT and just wait to see how the generation plays out...peace.

I wouldn't say he's defending them. It's more just putting out an argument for discussion. The article raises some interesting valid points worthy of discussion. Certainly wouldn't chose the DRM route as opposed to the non-DRM route but there's a big topic there. Just because someone raises a line of discussion doesn't mean they support it.

In terms of the games industry as a buisness it's indisputable that the DRM that was propossed would have been nothing but healthy for it. That's one big positive for a start, albeit with countless negatives ;)

can't you still have the digital options though,

i don't think digital games will be priced how they were this gen and i buy most of my stuff online now from psn and don't over pay and that was never the case a couple of years ago where i wouldn't buy anything online,

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

I agree with that article wholeheartedly. All this move does is set console gaming back another generation, assuming MS and Sony don't move towards digital and lock down their consoles over the course of time this gen. The majority of the people complaining were people who either weren't interested in the console in the first place, or would have been once they saw what little difference it made to their "rights".

What we're left with is a generation where the consoles are not much more powerful and everything else is the same. Forza, Infamous, Killzone, Battlefield, CoD, etc, all this stuff looks just like current gen games in terms of gameplay. I am most excited for Titanfall and does it do anything super special not possible on current gen? No. And that's a sad state of affairs for the industry.

Xbone would have been a breath of fresh air with some of its features, it's a shame we'll likely never see them and instead just play Xbox 2.5 and PS 3.5.

I like your posts because they are always somewhat reasonable and make a lot of sense. So I will ask what was it that the Xbox One was going to be able to do before that it can't now that would have made it such a breath of fresh air? I am asking because I am not REAL tech savy in the aspect of what it could have done so I am not sure...so figured I would ask.
