Xbox loyalty is so thin, when I support something I stay to the bitter end not swap sides every couple of months.

It's just a game console. But I think I may have spoke to soon I'm still likely to stick with getting the PS4. Cheaper, most of the same games that X1 has and PS4 will likely have a good variety of exclusives. But I'll will pick up an Xbox One in a year or two.

There's a big different being loyal and a blind fanboy. What you just describe there is a fanboy.

Id say more a "loyal fan" not fanboy.

When my rugby team starts losing I dont swap to the over team and start supporting them, because im a loyal fan.

True on all accounts, but I really wish gamers would balance being a fan with an eye on the needs of the marketplace. Buying the XBone before they undid the DRM would have hurt everybody in the market because Microsoft was setting a bad precident. Had it been even modestly competitive developers like EA could have thrown heavy-handed support on the policies and MANDATE them from Sony via firmware update. Suddenly we're all stuck with a parole officer every 24 hours from everybody.

That's horrible.

The only worse  thought is that it almost worked.

You really think they did this because they are listening to their fans? They did this because Sony had too many advantages.
-No DRM
-Lower Price
-More Power

They eliminated one of those advantages Sony had and no it can actually be a competition. Microsoft doesn't care about you, they care about sales. By now they already have pre-order data and I'm betting they were horrified at how fast the Xbox brand was being destroyed.

Sony doesnt care about you either. No corporation cares about you.

I beg to differ. They care more than Microsoft that's for sure. You see Sony understood that if you anger the customer, they won't buy our product. Microsft quickly found out this once they saw pre-order data for Xbox One and PS4. Right, BenVTrigger?

you are one blind fanboy, sony knows how to get gamers to buy their console so they will do whatever it takes for you to spend your money on a ps4. Isn't that exactly how a business should work?

When you are making purchasing decisions based on loyalty to a company rather than value of product itself you have crossed over from just being a loyal fan. comparing supporting a rugby team when it is losing to your support of a console is really the sign of someone that is not just a loyal fan.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If you put that much emotion into a gaming console like rooting for your sport team then you definately cross the loyal line.

This quote tree has been shortened.

How do you gauge that?

LIke I said, E3 has already passed. Sony won that week. They got the most positive press and that's that.
Microsoft reacted to Sony's PS4 policies.

PS4.

Sony got good press solely because of the DRM stuff.

Xbox won hands down in regards to games.

Haha! Oh boy...

The PS2 is the best selling console of all time. Yet the 360 managed to outsell the PS3 for years primarily due to price. Many people that were once Sony fans are now Xbox fans.

Those facts must sting you a little.
