The thing about "best game eva" posts is that you have to wait at least a year to be able to tell its the best.

When you finish a game, you're so hyped about it, your perception tends to be very skewed and biased.

Lets see where this game is at in terms of praise few years down the road. Will be Another Zelda Ocarina of Time or Mario Galaxy? Or will it be another Resident Evil 2?

Are you saying Zelda and Mario Galaxy were overhyped and Resident Evil 2 is the timeless classic?

now go play Zero Escape : Virtue's Last Reward, its brilliant, and mind blowing.

I'm sorry, but 999 was much mindblowing. I didn't like (not as much as the previous, I mean. The conclusion was incredible as always) the conclusion in Zero Escape.

i am saying that because I JUST finished it like the OP

Does it need a sequel though? I feel the game doesn't need a sequel, since all is revealed so the sequel will be uninteresting.

Do you understand that Zero Escape is a sequel to 999?

yes, i know, i am talking abour Zero Escape, the ending really didn't feel motivating for a sequel that will have lots of twists and turns.

999 didn't have an ending on which you feel motivated for a sequel

its kind of hard to explain, with Zero escape we know exactly what is going to happen its going to be "Zero Escape : (Something something)" Direct sequel, 999 on the other hand ended without a cliffhanger of the sort.

I had to keep reminding myself that I'm playing a game and not a movie.

Spoken like a true person who hasnt played the game.

Spoken like a person who misunderstood me. Have you or not? I just wanted to say that the interaction between the characters while gameplay alone brought in so much of life to its story and thus uplifted it to the masterpiece level. At times I forgot that I was indeed playing a game. I already beat the game a couple of days ago. A solid  9.5/10.
Oh and my PSN ID just incase: GAMEANALYZER

you should have made it clear that was your intention, a lot of people have used that "movie" line to stealth troll naughty dog games. ohh and the game is SO much better than a movie, it can honestly make you feel stuff that a movie simply cant.

either way, reported for giving it a 9.5 instead of a 9.9

Good for you. For me is Ocarina of Time

Having "a blast" doesn't make it the best game ever. I had a blast playing through Metro 2033, but that didn't make it the best game ever either.

I agree...all games are not all things to all people and there are different gaming tastes around.  But I also think enough of the gaming population had a blast with Mario Galaxy to a point that you can say it has a massive appeal hence making it one of the best games last gen. Majority rules... :)

CoD sold a shit ton this gen. That doesn't make it the best series ever. I really enjoyed the Galaxy games, but I don't even consider them top 5 this gen.
