Why? I don't see a price drop in the near future, and there's plenty of good games. Getting a PS3 at lauch was a waste, but Sony's in a much much better position right now.

People who buy are launch are more likely to get defective batch or find problems not originally seen or talked about (e.g RROD) also, if I wait 1 year, I can get better bundle deals at my local store. I won't have the problem where everyone starts complaining after 1 minute of owning a console that it's collecting dust because they have nothing to play on it ¬_¬

I don't know, man. Unless you plan to only use the PS4 for exclusives, I see a lot of games I'll want to play. Especially multiplayer.
As for hardware reliability, Sony has been doing everything right so far, so I'll put trust in them not botching that up. Even launch PS3's are fairly reliable, and that's a much hotter system.
