Why is that so out of the question? I know its had a bad year so far but look at how many games have come out this year, like 10, most of which were late ports and only one of them was exclusive. The rest of the year has about 10 exclusives and 10 mulitplats releasing along with new marketing and possible price cut which will give it momentum going into next year. 2014 has big system sellers like Mario Kart and Smash Bros along with being $100-200 less than the competition.

PS3/360 have steadily been dropping since 2011 and could be getting close to reaching saturation. PS4/One likely wont come storming out of the gate either post holiday, mony people may stick to there predeccessors since the majority of there games can be found there and wont be able to spend $400-500 to upgrade.


WiiU is struggling and will continue to struggle. The games you listed are for the core and while those games will probably get near or maybe slightly less than prev gen sales they will not push the console itself much higher than it has already gone. Core games for the core people who have already bought the system. The new people who bought the WIi are sticking with the Wii.

Of course the PS3/360 are gonna drop. Probably this year or next year below the WiiU. I know I was making a generic statement. But I meant that I doubt the WiiU will outself the PS4/XONE. Who knows what the ultimate shakeout will be. But for at least this year and part of next year. I expect the new HD twins to outsell the WiiU.

3DS is gonna have alot of momentum going into next year with Pokemon and Monster Hunter releasing near the end of this year. I also see a price cut and redesign coming next year along with more qaulity software.

PS3 on the other hand has been slowly dropping since it peaked in 2011 and that will continue with number of big exclusives dropping and having its successor out.

Yes, it does seem strange but we will see.

As for the PS3, it has not dropped by a lot - about 7% since 2011. Also, keep in mind that 2011 was the year of the last PS3 price drop - it actually got a price hike so the PS3 is still stable.

For one the PS4 was going to ship out 6 million units but because of sell outs sony is upping that up to 7.2 million.

I see people saying that Sony increased their PS4 units from 6-7.2 million? How does that tell you how much it is going to sell? All it tells you is that Sony is expecting greatness, not that greatness will occur.

Well let me explain sony released 6 bundles of PS4, they expected to launch 6 million units, 2 of those 6 bundles are sold out meaning they need more than 6 million PS4's to supply the demand meaning the PS4 will probably sell out this holiday and the Wii U wont.

We could also see all consoles sell less than expected. People will need some convincing to upgrade with awesome games like The Last of Us coming out on current gen... And the world economy isn't exactly booming... Throw into that Japan being on the brink of economic doom and the future is uncertain....
