like she said the gyu that sells icecream on the beach is going to have a great month, but that is not what we need right now. Brasil needs education and health.

I agree but that is the complex thing over the policy... you can't just invest in one thing (Education and Health) and forget the others things... I mean that don't make the Cup here will not help Education and Health... and make the Cup here will help a lot of others things.

One point is... the Cup admin is corrupt and we will spent more money than it is supposed to spend (that the corrupt part)... that is the part that we have to charge to be fixed and don't request to not make the Cup here.

Well that is my opinion.

I live in São Paulo and there are infrastructure works happening to support the Cup and that is a good thing for the City and Brasil.

We need to fix how the things are made here and not stop to receive these events.

FIFA World Cup 2014 and Olympics Games 2016... here we go

what do you think about all the protests and marches ethomaz?

I agree with the protests and marches... we need to demand our leaders somehow but I dissagre with the mode these protests are made and how the police working to contain the same (the lastest incidents are a shame for any country... we do not have a police force prepared to prevent confusion at protests and marches... they cause more confusion and violence... that's really a shame).

Like I said we have to fix the bad things here and not block the good things.

It is not like... stop to invest in sports to invest in education... the country need to invest in both at the same time... and punish the high level of corruption working here.

That's my opinion... fell free to disagree

PS. That's a difficult topic to talk in English for me... even in Portugue it is difficult... so I can't explain in the right way what I thing about that subject.

Well every country is facing problems, but I agree that hosting the World Cup is a waste of money. Plus they are also hosting the Olympics in 2016 and that has proven to be a more expensive event to host.

I don't. But the people needs education to choose our politics better

lol what a boring, cynical, party pooper she is.

The World Cup is the greatest show on earth.

Everyone should support it.

It'll improve the image of Brazil in people's minds, but it definitely won't help the people. I would have never considered Brazil if I was on a committee.

I agree but try to support in the right way not like is happening in Brasil...

Example...

- Use of the public money in stadiums...
- Corrupt political agreements...
- Police unprepared for major events...
- Disorganization...
- Delays and poor infrastructure...

Even so the country need to have these major events.

What else you gonna use than public money?

You're hosting the show, you make the stadiums.

Nice stadiums. I want to watch a great show.

It was probably the most viable option in South America. What else would you have picked?

Not just that... at the time of the decision the US and Europe was in economic crysis too... for good or for bad Brasil not.

I wouldn't have picked a South American country, especially with the disproportionate costs to get it ready.
