A shame about the lack of games though V_V

...errrr no, there are a lot of games

@ OP Nvidia's seems to be butthurt about consoles lately, they're stating the obvious

Dammit Pullus, I was about about to post a Captain Obvious gif. I agree with you on Nvidia. I think the reason they are so butthurt is because console gaming is the only thing keeping AMD a float right now. I think Nvidia is realizing that they've missed a golden opportunity to elimiate a rival.

this gen had some console exclusive games but next gen will have much less in my opinion. all the konami games and whatever will probably also come to pc. what will be left are the exclusives from first and second party and few third party games. but pc has also exclusives, especially for strategy, simulation, point&click and stuff like that.

the pc branch as a whole doesn't have a great future but the gaming pc has in my opinion.

Really? You might want to check on that. The games are far cheaper, and the hardware is not that much more, especially when you consider what else you can do with your PC. Also the ability to upgrade makes it cheaper eg I'll buy a £250 gpu and I'll be at next gen performance rather than £350+ on a new console (though that's a bit of a lie as I'm going to buy the PS4 and do a rebuild, but I hope you see my point).

......and that yellow thing in the sky is called The Sun. Why are they pointing the obvious?

Well consoles may be cheaper from the start but once you figure in the price difference between games and not spending $60 a year to play online PC gaming becomes cheaper. Not only that I'm pretty sure people do more than just play games on PC. I play games on mine but also use it for school and after next semester I'll be using it for work.

Also, i like the total lack of Nintendo on their charts.

Though I suppose the charts are what they are because they're the numbers Nvdia has exact figures for.

I didn't noticed it until your post. They did leave Nintendo off the revenue chart. That's very telling.

Only initially. Over time it's a lot cheaper.

Well the games themselves are cheaper on PC but not the hardware itself which is a lot more expensive. And also I have the impression that there are less exclusive on PC. Typically most of PC games are ported on console, and consoles have more exclusives. Except for MMOs.

Not really no.  The MOST powerful PC's will cost more then consoles by quite a lot....

but to build an equivlent to a console?

A lot of the times it ends up cheaper if your smart about it.

PSX revenue is way lower then i would of thought for software.... what gives?

Go ahead and create one. Mustn't cost more than $399 and pack the same punch as the PS4.

Go!

I love how they compare Titan to PS4 and claim 2.5x performance (which is not true on average even in case of Titan vs 7850, let alone PS4's customized GPU), and forget to mention, how that config would cost some 4x and more than PS4.

I've been computer gamer for better part of my life (all the way from C64), and always preferred it over consoles (mostly due to amount of different genres computers were/are offering), but the amount of BS nVidia is spewing as of lately is just pathetic.

Not necessarily true. PS3 launch price was $500. I built my PC 2 years ago for $600. With a new $200 video card, I can easily surpass the capability of the PS4 and XB1, using my current box.

So thats $800 spent over 2 generations for my PC to remain more powerful than any console system, whereas the PS3 was $500, and eventually came down to a lower pricepoint average of $400. Plus the new PS4 at $400 = $800. Thus, my more powerful PC costs the same that most of the Sony fans paid/will pay for over 2 generations.
