I believe they have already started doing things to be more consumer friendly like introducing the whole family sharing plan.

I don't care what anyone says but I don't think that was originally part of their plans.

And personally, I think their original plan was ALWAYS-ON not 24hr check in, based on backlash towards the rumours, they changed to 24hrs instead.

With that said, I don't think MS will back down completely.

I don't either. I don't think they'll back down at all unless the system performs poorly. That's seems to Microsoft's modus operandi as of late. Given what happened with Vista and now Windows 8.

They are just confusing themselves and their consumers. The potential is their and for people who are complaining about not sharing obviously didn't read the policy careful as the sharing it to 10 friends and those 10 friends have unlimited access to all your games is huge. The potential on how it can expand potential have unlimited game sharing is huge Don't see how you guys would miss that .

I don't have one friend who wants an XO, let alone 10.

They don't have to change its policies. Its fine the way it is. Gamers need to stop whining and embrace the change as its obvious that console industry are heading that way. MS is just starting it early. The only thing MS has to fix is their horrible PR answers. They are just confusing themselves and their consumers. I like the xbox one more then ps4 mainly due to exclusives shown on e3 and also because i hate psn online experience as the ps3 one was horrible and laggy. Will get both but will get xbox one day one edition first !

As a consumer, I can have certain expectations and wants, like being able to acquire content and possesss it and not have to buy it again.  I also should be able to give it away when I am done.  The industry has to figure out a way to meet this demand. I can, as a consumer, go elsewhere.  It is the job of business to figure out how to make it work, and also end up adjusting things and acclimating them so that people get used to it, in a way that benefits them.  Microsoft has failed to do this in spades this time around.

And if the industry is going to end up shifting to paying $X/hr for gameplay, count me out of it.  I don't put up with this with boardgames, and I won't here.  I have started my rejecting it by sticking with retro content.

I'm not sure how anyone can fix the mess they're in. But I hope the people who designed the Xbox 1 are fired by MS for making such a bad machine.

Hmmm, I have at least 10 friends and family who want the X1 and none want the PS4.  I for one have been advocating to get the PS4 as well but I'm getting push-back.  To each their own I guess.

Not just that team.... but if they maybe release a video of that whole team + all the Execs who agreed to try and insult gamers with this mess of a console all being shot, followed by a bullet right through the VHS looking new system. Even if they back peddle on anything at this stage you know that they still want this always on, drm filled, tv cable box / windows phone selling "console" under your tv rather than an actual Core gaming system.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Nothing is going to get "fixed".

Remove DRM, drop the price to $399 and allow used games.

I believe doing these things will certainly help their situation.

However, many people might still be stand off-ish since of what they were planning on doing.
