As a consumer, I can have certain expectations and wants, like being able to acquire content and possesss it and not have to buy it again. I also should be able to give it away when I am done. The industry has to figure out a way to meet this demand. I can, as a consumer, go elsewhere. It is the job of business to figure out how to make it work, and also end up adjusting things and acclimating them so that people get used to it, in a way that benefits them. Microsoft has failed to do this in spades this time around. And if the industry is going to end up shifting to paying $X/hr for gameplay, count me out of it. I don't put up with this with boardgames, and I won't here. I have started my rejecting it by sticking with retro content. |
