Are people expecting to get banned? Are they loud mouth abusive pricks on LIVE? Or criminals who hack or pirate? If not... What's the problem?

Do you really think the fact that someone is being a "loud mouth abusive prick" warrants stealing potentially hundreds of dollars worth of content back from them?

You wouldnt be banned for one instance

Youd be banned for being a repeat offender.  I know some people here have a laissez-faire attitude to "abuse" dressed up as comedy, but there are limits and that doesnt wash in the real world.

A repeat offender, constantly abusing other LIVE members after warnings should be banned, absolutely.  If he loses content, tough, he had his chance.

Bit like if you pay to join a sports club, say a golf club for hundreds of pounds, and are kicked out for breaking rules... you dont get a refund.

Bad analogy.

The correct one would be. You join a golf club. Buy a $1500 set of titleists, shoes, bag, 3 dozen balls. say you spend $2000 on equipment at the clubhouse. Get booted from the club and then they take all the equipment you bought.

This.

People should also remember that Microsoft bans consoles from XBOX LIVE for upgrading internal harddrives too.

Should this policy get into the known, XBL will become the most polite community in the world, bar none.
God damn.

You're kidding, right? What does Sony do if you pirate their games and get caught? Nothing?

lol they don't render your £££££ game collection useless for starters how about that? and if you didnt want to get another account you could sell your games

but you'd still have the clubs (games) that you paid for to go play else where.....

i'm not defending an arse for getting banned, but if they are his games that he has paid for, they have no right to take that away from him, your getting really deluded now in defending a system which is going to crash really hard

Simple fix: don't get banned

There's a simplier one. Buy an Xbox 360.

You can get banned on the Xbox 360 as well and all your digital items are gone.

I know the Xbone haters are out in droves per usual in these threads but nothing has changed from 360 here.

To think when I brought up this subject I was labelled as spreading FUD.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

That analogy doesn't work either because golf equipment you buy works on any course. If MS bans you from using the Xbox One, you can't take your Xbox One games and play them on a PS4/PC. His analogy is actually spot on.

The games is not yours... I think that is already a know fact.

Ms keeps digging there own grave

At this point I'd say MS already dug the hole and nailed it's coffin and is only waiting for the system's launch wich will be the burial + flowers.
