I wonder that myself too. I've no interest in PS4/XBOne or WiiU and Wii is dead as far as discussions here go. Mind I plan on keeping my Wii, too much VC (and Wii and netflix) goodness all in one box.

As far as staying here, aside from Super Smash Bros, there's no games I care about being discussed and I truly believe this is an industry in decline.

Actually that's not at all true. It's an industry in MASSIVE growth but all the growth is in mobile/PC. And mobile/F2P isn't tracked on VGChartz. It'd be interesting if Ouya, Gamestick, Unu, Gamepop, Razor, etc., etc. were going to be tracked as well, but all of those combined would only be a tiny fraction of the story anyway. Traditional consoles and handhelds are slowly dying but people here will long deny it (as many denied Wii's success) until the truth is overwhelmingly evident or until consoles are no longer consoles (IE: Xbox is purely a service on Window's tablet's with an optional controller)

So the way I see it there's two reasons to stay if you're not owning a next gen system (or current): To discuss Android/iOS games (we need more of that) or to get a front row seat to see how the die hard fans (and Sony/MS/Nintendo) react to the sweeping changes to the industry over the next few years.

For the Record: I'd be sorely disappointed to see one of my fellow retro gamers vanish from here.

Absolutely, you can still come by and piss and moan about hardware you don't own. That's what VGChartz is all about.

I am pretty much reaching the end here with the jumping into the new cycle of gaming by default, so I figured I would ask if I don't do this, if there is still a reason to hang around here.  I would consider there being a retro game forum on here as an option.  But I do have my CADERS group, if there isn't anything here.

Why don't you make an official Retro gaming thread and or an emulation thread.. We even have an official iOS thread.. I would love a Retro thread with my collection of old consoles.. I even have the Atari Jaguar

It's ok just to talk about any gaming. But do you game on any system at all now? PC? Retro? Also, your knowledge on politics is awesome.
