but does it have Blast Processing?!!!! Cloud powered gaming only can be used if you are truly online 100% of the time, for any offline campaign based games they literally have to work those games 100% around the power of what's in the box, otherwise offline you are left with a game which doesn't work, at all.

Offline? Xbox One? Not for long. Literally.

No dev working on it exclusively is gonna count on "offline" with it. And the multiplay makers have the other two consoles to factor in - neither needing online.

it's bad enough if you are playing a game like WoW when someones net goes down to see a player running on the spot but to thought that if you dc from XBL and all the cars around you are suddenly going to crash into a wall in your single player race is awful. Or better still what happens to playing Forza when XBL servers are down for a few hours? no single player AI? really?

For example, the exclusive Dead Rising 3, is, according to capcom, impossible without "the cloud", for reasons I don't exactly remember... perhaps zombie number or their AI (IIRC). The X1 is centered around always on, and if servers go down for long enough - no games for you, really.

Why are people so pessimistic about this feature?

A console not capable of running AI, especially "zombie" AI on it's own hardware is going to be incredibly hard to market as a plus point.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

It's tough to find you the exact article which appeared here yesterday, but this is the closest I could find - its open world is loaded directly from the cloud... for one.

Yes, it is BRILLIANT from a business perspective to have online games, where you pay once, to have to LIVE OR DIE, based upon external servers to offer added horsepower to be able to function.  Get paid once, hope to sell DLC, and then keep the servers up.  Or is it that they discontinue the servers after a few years, sell a sequel and require people to keep buying the updated version to play their SINGLE PLAYER GAMES.

For single player experiences.  Yes, Microsoft will be do SPMMOs (single player massive multiplayer online).

Here's a thought: if this pie in the sky concept works in practice in the near future, there's no need for the XB1 at all. Think about it. All you need is an internet connection and the controller interface. The box becomes completely redundant and pointless as all the consumers needs is the controller, Kinect interface and an Apple TV like dongle/router to plug them into that costs well under $100 to manufacture.

If you think about it, there's no reason why the 77+ million XB360's can't be used as the access gate to the same cloud computing resources as the only difference would be the upgraded Kinect interface. No need for an XB1 to play XB1 games.

You could also use any Windows PC with the ability to interface with the input devices.

So pretty much the exact same thing the PS4 has...only MS felt the need to make it sound super awesome.
