at least it doesn't release like the ps3 in only 5 countries for half an year.

Although I have no interest in the console. I'm still amazed that Brazil is among the countries which will get Xbone at launch.

Sony is skipping Japan? They will do a event before TGS just to make buzz about PS4 in Japan... I think is going to WW real release.

I think Sony and MS are investing a lot here due the supposed "190 million" consumers lol

Yesterday Sony did a E3 Conference exclusive for Latin American talking over 80% of the time about Brazil.

BS! Yes, CS 1.6 is our national video game (not as big as SC in Korea, but almost ;) ) and PC is still king but it's getting weaker with every passing year. Among consoles PS3 didn't even break a sweat when selling more than X360 and Wii combined, even though it's so easy to hack X360 and Wii and so hard to hack PS3. So I'm sorry, but it's the most expensive and hardest to hack console that won. Though I have to admit that X360 has a strong market share, stronger than it deserves, since people were buying it to play pirated games at first and to play Kinect games later on.

*gulp* I didn't mean to insult your country, actually from what I heard the situation is very similar as here in Croatia, where Sony also won, but 360 gained a lot of traction due to piracy and cheaper price point.

The reason why the PS1 and PS2 did so well there (and here) is also hugely because the simple to do piracy allowed it to greatly expand the console market. This created a 'taste' and many of these people now support developers by buying legit games.

Again, I may be wrong, so please pardon my ignorance.

Some retail here are preording at R$1850 but Sony said in interview to Globo (I guess) they want to sell the PS4 below R$1000... I really really don't believe that... PR talk but R$1850 I think will be the close to official price.

Cool :) The history is quite similar here, so why were you assuming a different outcome than in your country? :) I remember  a single N64 game costing 1/3 of the average monthly wage... Crazy times. Only PS1 and PS2 that were so easy to hack and had CDs/DVDs would sell. Still it allowed Sony to build such a strong position on the market, that people were buying the PS3 even though it was impossible to hack it and prefered it to a hackable X360. Times are changing, people can afford more and it shows. Last year Sony Poland said they sold 100k PS3s in 6 months. Wonder how fast the consoles are selling this year. I think PS4 will be the fastest selling console in history in Poland (currently it's PS3, they still haven't said how many Vitas they sold).



Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

Seriously you have a development team come on your conference and showcase a game and yet you won't even release your console in their country which they are based from, and if I recall the Witcher author of the books is even from Poland.
