Forums - Microsoft - Gamestop apparently doing all it can to push customers away from Xbox One.

It's fanboy wankery. For the consumer, the used game selling/buying process at Gamestop won't be much different than it is now.

Of course since this is AGAINST the Xbox One, I take it we're supposed to like the douchy GS employees, amirite? Whatever ...

Liking Gamestop has nothing to do with it. I only shop there when I have no other choice. Gamestop would be stupid not to push people away for the Xbox One. The Xbox One is bad for their business.

So far two multiple GAF peeps have reported that their local gamestops are playing and focusing on PS4 no DRM stuff on their inner store TVs as well as handing out pamplets on Xbox One DRM policies.

Guess mass game consumer will find out. ;)

i prefer spending 100 dollars more on a ps4 where everyone will be online and the console is a powerhouse than buy a wii U much less spend 100 more on a xbone

Just talked to my friend with 190k gamer score he's holding out on xbox1 for now, he owns 3 360's his family's combined gscore is over 500k

why not? being able to trade games and having to have a internet connection. I feel MS is going to kill the attach rate for its console and mediocre games wont sell at all.

I know for myself I'll rent and buy on the ps3 and only get aaa title on the xbox1 a game I'm willing to keep forever.

If you don't think guys like that wont have an effect on the xbox1 your crazy. PS3 will win next gen and attach rates will be what 360 had this gen. Wake up MS

Why are you calling Gamestop employees douchy?

I was afraid it was going to be taken that way.  Not calling them all that, just singling out the ones that are.  There is no way possible for them all to be douchy, or even a majority of them.  Sorry that wasn't made more clear.

What, there are some really cool people that work at gs.

See the above response to Carl.  Sorry.

Remembering the days of Sega Saturn.

It's funny how a store that was traditionally leaning more toward the Xbox is trying to push customers away from it.
Do they realize that PS3 customers are less likely to buy their games at GameStop than Xbox customers ( I could be wrong but I remember reading somewhere than on average PS3 customers this gen were older than 360 customers and it's easy to see that gamestop catters more to the 16-23 than to the 30-45 age group...). Personally I am 41 and I wouldn't purchase a game at gamestop even if they payed me to do so...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Wankery......I must use this term. Its perplexing yet....dirty....I like it.

It would be a nightmare to deal with costumers coming back to the shop and wanting an explanation on:
-why the console don´t work without internet.
-why used games don´t work.
-why the camera is mandatory.
-why why why why...
It would be hell, Gamestop better explain this stuff BEFORE people buy it, or else there will a ton of returns.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

It still seems a little bit like a conspiracy to me, highlighting differences to inform customers is good from a PR perspective, after all.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
