It won't sell if they stock it like they did with Xenoblade. That's why they never got a sale from me. Those bastards.

It really is a shame about the stocking issues. Game is fantastic. Easily my favorite JPRG from the 7th gen.

If only there were some workaround....*cough*.

I just noticed that the X rewind trailer on IGN's site is on the main page, but nowhere to be found on the actual WiiU page.

What? Why? Are they intentionally ignoring it?

Thats what I've been asking IGN ever since the trailer was revealed. heck, thats what everyone has been asking IGN. just look at all the top comments on many different articles, everyones asking about X

I think it depends more on how Nintendo promotes it. If they do at all, it should have a shot at 1 million.

Sadly, 1.5 million is MAX

Press ain't reviewing it, even if it's the "hardcore Nintendo game" everybody wanted.

Xenoblade got cult status, but was hurt by the fact that NA and EU didn't launch in time. If it has released in 2011 in both territories with some advertising, it would've sold a lot lot more.

Then there's also the issue of FFXV may launch in the same period and eat up sales blah blah blah. And Nintendo is TERRIBAD and promoting niche games. Stocking niche games? Even worse. Fire Emblem could've been the best selling one by now if they didn't have major MAJOR stick issues.

I really wish they promote this. I want them to put a very good marketing budget on this, show it off as what the WiiU is capable of.

Sadly, it's Nintendo and it won't happen. I just hope to god it sells enough to warrant another game by Takahashi, I really do.

Hey IGN posted a rewind trailer. At least that's something I guess. http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/06/12/rewind-theater-x-e3-2013-trailer

But Xenoblade Chronicles did release in 2011 here in the EU and it had decent advertising. I remember there being a ad every other commercial on channels like TMF and JimTV (which are music channels) and it also got advertised on bigger channels together with Skyward Sword and Last Story. And even with all that advertising, it still sold less than in the US. Xenoblade is a niche game that will only sell a decent amount, no matter how much advertising Nintendo puts behind it.

That said, I definetly think X will sell better than Xenoblade because now we are certain it gets released in every region and it will be the best looking game of the moment. Also, there isn't going to be a lot of competition because of the lack of games being released. There were also a LOT of people who downloaded Xenoblade because of a lack of release in the US, while the EU already had it, so I think those downloads will result in sales now that we know it's actually coming. I think it will get 1,5 million sales, which is a decent amount, I guess...

Between 1m and 1.5m off of word of mouth and better advertising this time around (now that Nintendo sees "X"/Xenoblade as their potential Final Fantasy series for Wii U and see that JRPGs can do well with a little push like Fire Emblem)
