Reddit is easily the friendliest, especially on the smaller subreddits. But the big subreddit threads are just bloated with basically the same comments over and over and over and annoying reddit shit like pun threads. The point system is both good (more effort put into posts, practically no hostility) and bad (karma whoring, fakeness, unpopular but not necessarily invalid opinions may not get seen). Check out /r/games and /r/*insert console here*.

sometimes the forums seem dead, but I've been here too long to ditch now.

I actually got bored of the site the moment the numbers got behind a paywall and some of my best friends on the site retired but I still visit it sometimes but not anywhere near close to how I was in 2008-9

No one cares, really.
But jay acts like he doesn't prefer any console over the other. But his threads and posts tell a different story.
Some people hate people who has a fake persona. That's why he gets "called out" a lot. Not saying jay has a fake persona, though.

at the moment this site is literally 95% pro Sony and anyone who prefers anything else is instantly ganged up on.

I never mentioned anything about loving / hating X1. It's a free market. Buy whatever you want. Enjoy whatever you want.
I'm addressing the overall horrendous state of current debate on the site. Don't like the X1? Perfectly understandable. In fact I'm buying a PS4 literally just to throw Sony support for their pro consumer actions.

why not just admit they are you choice wthout giving reasons why. i dont see how one company charging for online is consumer friendly and the other charging for online is anti consumer is in any way valid. if you were really for consumer rights you'd buy a wii u as its BC, online free etc
You are just trying to defend your choice but if consumer rights really were the issue you wouldnt back Sony either.

if someone said im backing MS because the online is free. you wouldnt think that odd at all to prefer one over the other for a reason that applies to both
