Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft's answer to those who don't have good internet

Omg... Would he feel confident saying crap like that? Does he actually think it should be that way? Was it his idea?

Maybe its because half the complaints about unreliable internet arent his concern. It seems a lot of people with poor internet would be better off campaigning to their governments and ISP's to fix the issues rather than blame other companies and try to hold back progress for the rest of us. You have shit internet? Deal with it.

Not being able to rent games for a new console is called regression: the opposite of progression. Enjoy dem restrictions. :)

What else was he gonna say? I think it's sad that people here are bashing him for just being honest.

Well its no different than Sony's answers some times.
Consumers PS2 is faulty why do the drives fail so easily
Sony to consumers Deal with it
Consumers file class action lawsuit and deal with it.
COnsumers" we don't need a 599.99 console"
Sony " Actually you don't know enough about tech to decide. You need use to make that decision for you and you will buy it regardless of value even if you need to get a second job.."

Where do you people live that you have such poor internet? Some of you are trying to make America sound like a 3rd world country. I live in TN. Until 2010 I could not get any form of cable or internet because my area is too excluded. I now have a 50mbs line and it has never went out in over 2 years of having it. IF you cant afford to pay your internet bill, maybe you need to rethink your priorities a little bit when it comes to gaming.

Hate to break the news to you, but US =/= World.

Hate to break it to you but nobody cares outside the demographics that would buy the console.  If you've got crap internet then get better internet or buy a console that fits your purpose.  Plus half the globe doesn't have the sort of terrible internet most of the Sony fans on this site keep claiming yet that doesn't stop you spreading such myths.

Obviously people do care. You just choose to ignore it.

As for getting better internet. I can't get Verizon FioS in my area, just Optimum Online, and my connection while a good 20mbs has so many issues and drops. I can't just wave a magic wand and shit gets better.

That goes for everyone, including those in the US who don't have internet.

So yes, people will buy the console that fits their purpose. The one that plays the same exact games as the XBone but DOESN'T need a internet connection in order to function.

By the way, the internet issue isn't even my main gripe anyways. My main gripe is why pay $60 and never actually OWN the product you purchase? If you're okay with just throwing your money away, more power to you. I however like to actually own something for the hard earn money I spend and like knowing that if I choose to no longer want it, I can go out and look for a maximum return.

Could you please explain this "progress"?

MS hasn't been able to yet and they continue to dodge, but it seems you have the answers.
