damn....
Wow, that's a bad answer... In general. Not that I would care but it really is arrogant. MS better change their attitude or the Xbone will fail.

You can access VGchartz and forums without needing any stable/fast internet connection even dialup would do the job just fine.. Most gamers are private people. They wouldn't want to get their shit checked every 24 hours. What if something comes up and I was unable to connect the thing to the internet for more than 24 hours? This is complete BS, they want to keep everything under their control. But most of all, why does it bother you when we speak on behalf of those who are unable to access the net? I think you should stand up for them yourself. |
What? You don't need fast and stable internet for Xbone to function. Once a day is sufficient. Of course your internet can break but then no VGC, no YT, no nothing.

So basically he's saying that if you don't have a reliable connection, next gen is not for you. The funny thing is that if there are people like that, he's telling them to go to their competitors for next gen...that's not a sound strategy.
Edit: The more I see the video, the more it looks like he doesn't believe in what he is saying. He looks a little sad, like he knows that maybe his job is in the line or that they have taken some wrong turns and it could cost them the generation and all the hard worked they did last gen. Sorta feel bad for the guy.
Maybe its because half the complaints about unreliable internet arent his concern. It seems a lot of people with poor internet would be better off campaigning to their governments and ISP's to fix the issues rather than blame other companies and try to hold back progress for the rest of us. You have shit internet? Deal with it.

Yes, you can, still some points of your post seemed wrong. Whatever.

My problem isn't that my own internet connection is unreliable, but what about Microsoft's servers?
Steam and the Playstation you can just simply play offline.
What-if one day Microsoft decides to close down the Xbox One servers? You won't be able to pull the console out and start gaming much akin to what you could do with any console that has ever been released.
What if, Microsoft's Xbox Live! network gets hacked and goes offline for a few months like the playstation network?
Essentially Microsoft is making it more inconvenient for all gamers and they are basically telling everyone to "Deal with it". - They deserve the harsh criticism they have been receiving with such an attitude.

surprising to see you using the "bone" name - just some days ago you were very consistently using "$ony", what happened?

I use the bone-name quite a long time - got used to it and doesn't sound to bad for me. And I will continue to use $ony as long as others use "M$" :)
But in general nothing happened. I am undecided which console I will buy in the future - I am currently making a list of pro and contra for both :)
