Have you played Xenoblade? If Monolith keeps it up, FFXV won't be the better game at all since SE has disappointed me on home consoles the entire 7th gen. SE is emphasizing on graphics way too much.

I don't have a Wii, nor do I know anyone with one to borrow from, so unfortunately I have not played the first. I'm a pretty big follower of the genre so of course I've heard about it and read the reviews, but I typically stay away from news about the consoles I don't have (to avoid major disappointment when they get a great title I can't play lol) so havent seen/heard much about X until now.
I'm a bit of a graphics whore but even with the shiny new engine I've been pretty disappointed by S-E as well. Attempted to get through FFXIII three times now and I always make it 40-50 hours in, and then lose interest. I've always had a lot of faith in Nomura though, so I'm really, really, REALLY hoping for a renaissance of some sort.

It's all about the game.

I thought FF13 was actually a decent game, just not deserving of the FF name, then their spin offs are really pissing me off. I'm about 120 hours FF13(gave up eventually on the farming to 100%, got bored fighting giant turtles all fucking day,) can't finish FF13-2 ATM, Nier was meh, The Last Hope was at least fun on a combat level actually but with a little girl I throughly wanted to murder while saving the planet and galaxy and shit, The Crystal Bearers WTF, The Last Renmnant best version on PC whoa(I have it on Steam of course,) and shitty DQ games on Wii. WTF! WTF!

Just to give you an idea of how much people like Xenoblade Chronicles, take alook at the Amazon page for the game. Look at the price.

When I see triple-digit prices for games like Xenoblade, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Radiant Dawn, I want to grab the buyer by the shoulders and shake them.
Why. Didn't. You. Buy. It. When. It. Came. Out?
By holding off on buying these games, which they obviously want, they're costing themselves way more money, and depriving the publisher of sales, thereby imperiling future productions of games like this. It's a lose/lose.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

I'm still bitter with The Last Remnant not seeing the PS3 release.. Unfortunately I can only afford one console per gen, so Ive had to miss out on far too many JRPG's this time around. And I have absolutely zero interest in continuing the XIII story, as the first one was such a let down for me. Everytime they speak in public I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for news about Versus, literally for years and years, and it goes something like...
"andddd it's XIII-2!! Please be excited!"
..... -_- .....
"anddddd now it's XIII-3!! .......... Why aren't you excited?!"
The company has made nearly all of my all-time favourite games so I still have a lot of respect for them based on that, but I do not eat up everything that they spit out like I used to. But this is a new mainline Final Fantasy.. I can't help but jump around gleefully.
And having seen that price on Amazon for Xenoblade, even if I was able to track down a Wii I still wouldn't be able to play it lol.

It's all about the game.
Both look good, but XV gave me butterflies to watch where as X's didn't.
