It's not really a comparison to me. Let me explain why.
Final Fantasy XV is a next-gen game in every way. Graphics. Gameplay, AI....etc. I got that "next-gen feel" from that trailer and from the gameplay video released today. I didn't get that from "X".

Considering that Square Enix is all up for cinematic stuff, the trailer of FFXV gives you more of this "wow" feeling, but the gameplay itself is just another shooter.

X, despite it's austere and short trailer, had me all hyped. Giant mechs on a giant open world? Yes please.
