Not to poop on your parade but I think people are making too big a deal out of this. Does the game look good? Yes. Does it look mindblowing? I don't think so.
Just curious, but did you think any game shown in this E3 was "mindblowing", actually? I didn't saw that much of a difference between most games shown and current gen, in fact, the only game that actually looked next-gen for me was the Halo trailer, and that was a CG.
Yes, I do. inFamous Second Son is one example. I suggest you take a look at the new gameplay trailer. There's a huge difference so stop lying to yourself
Then there's the 3rd party games such as The Division and Destiny and Titan. Those have next-gen elements that are more than just graphics.
Other than the higher res, the biggest improvement is actually lighting so far since the PS4 actually has the resources to pull it off now, this whole next gen thing has a lot of emphasis on lighting from what I can see so far which isn't saying much yet. I honestly think that we won't see anything mind blowing for awhile IMO, but I'm used to PC graphics though, we've had that kind of lighting for awhile if the game supports it on PC.
lighting,IQ and textures will be huge upgrade nextgen, finally.
Best looking Wii-U game by far, and the only one with graphics the could reasonably be called "next gen". Beyond the graphics, it looks really good as well. Great art style, and the developer pedigree is undeniable. It looks very good.

I thought Xenoblade was an absolutely beautiful games despite the Wii U's limitations. I'm intrigued by the blend of very urban and decidedly savage environments. Of course, the main thing I'm interested in with this game is story. Hope Monolith can pull off something that rivals Xenoblade.

Hopefully yes, it's too bad that PS4 is charging for online play now so I won't be getting one, it's really kind of a bitch move and the reason I sold my 360 and kept my PS3. PC is still the best after all (/hugs computer.) Anyways, who gives a shit about RDR anymore? It's not like RDR has giant mechs that can smash a horse into a blood puddle that doubles as a big ass SUV with weapons. Also the new X game has day night cycles as well, whether dynamic shadow will be in the final game is still unknown, too early.

This > wild wild west:
damn sony charging for online, i was at aleast hoping they would charge 29.99 a year
Some ares look a little rough but overall it looks nice and the art direction looks superb.
I take it he was proven wrong about Wii U being last gen with this game and just dont want to admit it?
I can't admit something when its false, you can do a HD pic comparsion thread of current gen vs wiiu and 360/ps3 will look much better, the only thing i hear thats impressive about X is scale, so at best even with the hyperbole added its looks a bit better then open world 360/ps3 games but real nextgen systems already are a huge step up in resolution, IQ, textures, detail, everythingthing looks better.
So in conclusion Wii U is not current gen is what youre saying since you just admitted current gen cant handle a game of scale like this?
i said with hyperbole added, i haven't played the game to know the scale, but you can clearly see the lighing is static, while open world games like RDR/GTA5 have dynamic lighting, so there is trade offs being made to get it running like lighting and 2d foilage.
So in other words you will just saying anything to downplay the visual quality of the game. You were wrong about the hardware so just get over it. Everyone is wrong at least once in their life.

Something that many of my animation instructors constantly tell me is "It's not your tools that make you good but what you do with them."
One of my instructors proved this by drawing an amazing figure drawing using a dark chocolate milkyway bar as his medium.

They did nothing to prove me wrong today. People hyping X and Mario Kart graphics are largely basing it off of the crappy video and filling in the blanks from there. here is a hd pic of a so called nextgen game to prove my point X will have the same crappy image quality of current gen, same jaggies same textures, still waiting for those X HD pics, that nintedo will never release.
