I'd say this latest trailer destroys once and for all the idea that Wii U is graphically on par with or worse than PS3/360.

The scale and detail is really something.

But more importantly, the art direction looks great too, which will hopefully lead to vistas as memorable as Xenoblade's.

Not to poop on your parade but I think people are making too big a deal out of this. Does the game look good? Yes. Does it look mindblowing? I don't think so.

Just curious, but did you think any game shown in this E3 was "mindblowing", actually? I didn't saw that much of a difference between most games shown and current gen, in fact, the only game that actually looked next-gen for me was the Halo trailer, and that was a CG.

Yes, I do. inFamous Second Son is one example. I suggest you take a look at the new gameplay trailer. There's a huge difference so stop lying to yourself

Then there's the 3rd party games such as The Division and Destiny and Titan. Those have next-gen elements that are more than just graphics.

What game does exactly look mind blowing then?   Killzone Shadow fall? NOPE  It looks like Crysis in terms of polycount etc. (which is 6 years old) with lighting etc that didn't exist back then but became "standard with games" like Battlefield 3.

So the conclusion would be: PS4 welcome to 2008-2009? = Mind fart NOT blow.

X looks great for the hardware it is running on. And especially because everyone tries to convice Nintendo gamers that WiiU has  Gameboy graphics.

And btw show me 1 non-MMORPG    JRPG that looks like X.    JRPG = Niche = low budet.

Killzone looks next-gen. Sorry but it does. Not mind-blowing, but still next-gen.
inFamous SS looks incredible from all aspects. Look at a gameplay video of inFamous 2 then look at Second Son. That's the next-gen difference.
Did you not see Metal Gear Solid V? That was fucking insane.....

@bold
Final Fantasy XV easily beats X. This is another example of a mindblowing next-gen game.

As a member of the PC Gaming Race, I say this is a pretty impressive looking game. The scale of the scenarios is... magnificent.

But I'll be honest, I'm buying it for the mechs alone.

Lol you will be dissappointed if you buy for the mechs alone. If you played the first one you would know its more of an open world rpg.

B-BUT THE MECHS!

And sadly I didn't play Xenoblade :c but I really enjoy open-world RPGs, so it's all good for me : D

Clearly this thread needs some animated gifs!

I agree with you although there is a clear differnce, its not mind blowing differnce on a crappy youtube vid because your not seeing  on a 1080p set, PS4 games will mostly be jaggie free at 1080p the detail will really stand out, once you have the game running on your TV the differnce will be huge.

I will admit there is not a huge difference but the little difference in this early stage proves PS360 is no where near Wii U. The scale of the game and the details and textures in an open world environment proves that. Everyone knew Wii U is more powerful if you compare specs on paper. We have been through this argument over and over so its pointless going back and forth comparing to last gen. The game clearly proves the Wii U is more than capable to run anything on PS360, its up to developers to code the system properly. Also PS4 games were freezing and dropping frames during the presentation on "last gen multiplats" not because it could not handle the games but simply because they were in early stages in development and was not coded properly.

Thief blows my mind. I'm getting it for PS4 next year along with Infamous: Second Son.

X blows my mind because it's the successor to Xenoblade, not because of fancy next-gen whatever. Actually, I don't get any game because of fancy next-gen anything. Thief and Infamous just look plain fun.

If Nintendo is smart they will take some of the devs from this game to help make an open world Zelda.

This game looks nice and all but tbh I don't see any of the next-gen systems (Wii U, PS4, XBO) really blowing away the best that's on my X360s right now? Also, despite all the hubbub about how much more powerful the XBO and PS4 is suppose to be, I find the diffrence between this game and what the other systems are offering a lot closer than even the 3DS and PSV!!! Hmm...I guess the visual diffrence won't be the same gulf it was with the Wii and PS360 after all. :/
