Will Wii U sell better this christmas with only this game as system seller?

That would mean a weak 2013 holiday, not a 3rd place this gen. You are still on the "nerd rage" phase. I agree that 3D Mario is by far one of the biggest disappointments that has ever come from Nintendo, but that alone doesn't make the company sucks.

Nintendo is dropping so many balls that makes me wonder how they will recoup.... That IS a sucky company. They messed up the launch, they messed up the Spring and Summer. Not until August is it getting some solid releases - but they don't have a HUGE game until Mario Kart NEXT year. They've dun gunn messed up the first entire YEAR (and then some)

Then you and I are on the same page. 2013 looks very weak, but 2014 looks very solid thus far. Your first comment was that Nintendo was coming 3rd place this gen, which I don't think that's going to be the case (considering MS current situation). 

Either way, we might not like how 3D Mario looks, but we can't deny the selling power of that game.

Call of Duty, Battlefield, Fifa, GTA, GT6, Assassin Creed, the last of us most likely, nba2k, madden,...alot actually

Its going to be the multitude of total games for WiiU that will enable it to sell well. Not a single game and this game will have good appeal.

3D World does not count as a huge game on Wii U. Mario Universe would have been far more fitting. Do something on Wii U that CAN'T be done on 3DS...

The selling power of Mario 3D World? It's selling like crazy on 3DS - but I don't think it'll do as well as Galaxy! Wii U needs a game that CAN'T be done on 3DS.

And we don't know how 2014 looks yet. Considering that Nintendo has a tendensy to push the release date...

It will give them a nice holiday season but still won't change the Wii U's design and concept, so I fully expect sales to plummet hard again after new years, just like we saw in the 2012/2013 transition.
The games will be great and sell well, the console will remain the same and will remain the main problem in reaching sustained high sales.

the line up is good. 3D mario, wonderful 101, sonic lost world, Wii U fit, Wii party. it should have been better though.

i think it would be a safe bet to say they are having a price cut if they really want to compete. i wouldnt say sales will explode, but they should reach decent levels. the problem is their biggest game, the 3D mario. is releasing in december. meaning it will miss out pushing extra sales in November.

i would say like vita sales last Christmas probably a bit higher
