2 big platformers with 5 million+ potential could certainly shake them into competitiveness, along with a price cut (as PS4 is a bit close for comfort)

Yeah but 3DS had 3DLand-MK7-Price cut combo. This one only a sequel to 3D Land, and minor sellers like Pikmin and WWHD along with a new IP (TW101). And honestly I doubt Wii Party U or Wii Fit U are going to make people buy the console.

With the games, a price cut, a marketing push and the typical Xmas Nintendo boost sales will probably jump a lot.

With PS4 and Bone shortages it may outsell them.

It should do well as long as it has some helper titles. Was Wii U Party and Wii Fit U still confirmed for this year?

I believe WiiU Party was Fall 2013 and Wiifit U was Winter 2013 so yes, they will be available by the time of the holidays.
