Sony used PS4 with Used Game support. It's not very effective. 

Nintendo used Smash Bros with Megaman. It's super effective. 

Microsoft is paralyzed. It may not be able to move.

Microsoft used paralyze heal! MS uses, buy both companies with much less than a years worth of net income.

MS wins and gets bored because it's now competing with Apple and/or Google in the gaming industry.

This was the longest gen in the history of genz evar! The consoles are getting more focus from the media too, it's different. The PS3 can't drop it's price as far as the PS2, the hardware is still too expensive.

I think your being very hopeful. I do not see it happening.  People are going to hold off for the next console. Plus I'm betting xbox 360 will drop price in the fall.

The PS3 will overtake the Wii total within 3 years time. Quite reasonable to see the PS3 selling between 23 million to 25 million over that time period. The PS4 will finish clear ahead of both the Wii U and XBox One. PS4 will reach 150 million console sales ltd, Wii U should reach 70 million and the XBox that will sell 50 million consoles.

I doubt it will beat Wii. Also define ''win''. How do you ''win a console war''? Because with all the crazy amount of money lost on PS3 this gen, I'm not sure that if they outsell Wii we can say they ''won''.

Even aknowledging the term ''console war'' is something I'm not confortable with. Do we ever hear about a smartphone war? TV war? Car war? Fast Food war?
