PS4!

Knowing the price of both system would really help answering this question. But I think you need to be dilusional to think the Ps4 will outsell the Xbone.

Yes Ps4 is more for gamers. Ppl on this forum for obvious reason are way more attracted to the PS4, and if the whole world was like us, the PS4 would dominate the Xbone. But that is not the case for everyone. I think ALOT of ppl will be attracted with all that TV, multimedia, NFL fantasy etc... that WE don't care about. Alot of gamers will buy Xbone so are non-gamers. The same non-gamers that bought so many Wiis, DS and Kinects.

I seriously can't imagine PS4 successfully attract the casuals/family, and those ppl are the masses that generate millions of sales. And if rumors are true and that Xbone is 99$ with the obligation of subscribing to the XBLgold, forget it, Xbone will dominate US (altho I don't even think it needs that 99$ price to dominate in sales).

PS4 is way more attractive to me and gamers on the internet, but thinking that everyone think that way is crazy. I don't see any casual caring for PS4, those who are the reasons that more consoles were sold this gen than any other gens will buy Xbone over PS4.

But offcaurse if I find out that the PS4 will be 349$ and the Xbone is 499$ I will take back everything I said :P

I anticipate the XO retaining its crown in North America. People would feel as though they were losing what they've "invested" in achievements, friends lists, and that gamerscore thing. Of course, the same is true for Sony, so I don't see that many turncoats next gen.

Also, Microsoft knows where their bread is buttered. They'll go big with shooters and multimedia, just like with the 360. That should be enough.

However, they'll probably lose market share in the rest of the world, and maybe even in North America. I think the XO might move backwards a bit from what the 360 accomplished.

MS just gave a 3rd of the consoles to Sony on a silver platter. Don't expect the xbone to pull huge numbers in the us again. All the TV and NFL in the world isn't going to save it.

I don't think that it is impossible for the PS4 to outsell the Xbox One in the US, but the massive popularity of Halo and Call of Duty are definitely going to make many gamers buy an Xbox One, even if they have qualms about Microsoft's online requirements and licensing policies.
